Why doesn't /a/ talk about Le Chevalier D'eon anymore?
I remember being excited to download this (from Demonoid) because Shinsen's release was 1080p with 5.1 surround sound in an era when everything was 480pI don't think I even had a surround sound setup at the time, and thinking back I highly doubt it actually had native 5.1 or was genuinely 1080pI also knew nothing about the French Revolution, not that I know much more now (other than the fact that it probably did not involve zombies) but maybe it'd be worth a rewatchOh but the OP and ED were bangers and have been on my regular playlist all this time
>>288068113When was this ever well-known on /a/? All I remember about it was that it was good
>>28806847820 years ago when /a/ was good>>288068383The show does not in anyway shape or form represent the French Revolution
>>288068597I don't remember many people talking about that much in 2006 but it's been a while for niche show
>>288068113ong nobody talks about that shit nowadays
>288069400ragebait that should make you go back and kill yourself
>>288068113I liked the vibe but it felt like it was trying too hard to be grounded. Like a "we want anime to be taken seriously by the west" thing. If it was lacking anything it would have been a comedic episode to break the tension. It's basically grim determination and threading the tense political climate from beginning to end.
I remember listening on repeat Overnight in secondary school, I should give the anime a watch someday
>>288068113Rose of Versailles for millennials. It's now uncslop without having the classic status of RoV.
>>288070907I don't think that has anything to do with wanting to appeal to the West as much as it was just the style on the early mid 00s
>>288068113Woah I was just considering whether I should watch this the other day. Guess I'll take this as a sign and give it a shot
