No they didn't fuck, stop thinking it
>>288078933Thanks once again OP
I woulda bumped yesterdays thread if I saw it was dying but I fell behind on chapters because the turkish fire arc is not a favorite of mine
Rereading this now and with a lot more manga since then I'm appreciating the art a lot more. Both the character faces and the backgrounds, which I assume are heavily referenced but still work very well.
>>288078347was he just fucking with them?
>>288078933Thanks
>>288080918No. The message is truthful in a way, this is Johan starting to realize who he really is.
>>288080918>>288082472Forgot pic
Bumpster
So whatvwas the point of showing Anna' relationship with Mr.Rosso? It feels like random filler
>>288079434I was minutes too late.
>>288078886Panels like this make me remember the twins are just twenty years old.

>>288078933Danke
>>288085479Just showing the mind of another (ex) killer. This is a long manga, most of it is about minor characters. Also explaining how Nina learned to shoot, and that she is not willing to do anything to kill Johan (like involving Rosso).
>>288088309No, I'm going to sleep.
>>288091122Wake the fuck up or Johan will appear in your sleep
>>288077874Nice use of coloring here. Shame about the scan quality.
>>288078288NANI!?
>>288092074So it's a wet dream.
I really like this fag's art, but the themes can be really retarded, it sometimes reads like a netflix adaptation of some jap series, even though it was made way before shitflix started doing its thing.
>>288092608Two Johans.
>>288094811The series is still good when its good but yeah it definitely shows its age pretty frequently, if Monster were written today it would probably be different
>>288096191They are inside youOne is gayThe other one is also gayYou are gay
>>288096253>Monster was not a weekly manga; it was serialized semimonthly (twice a month) in Big Comic Original magazine from December 1994 to December 2001. While author Naoki Urasawa worked on it, he frequently managed other weekly series simultaneously, which led to high-intensity, concurrent serialization.>While creating Monster, Urasawa was notorious for working on another series at the same time, such as Happy! (weekly) and later 20th Century Boys (weekly), which contributed to extreme fatigue.yeesh
>>288096306It's actually impressive that Monster looks as good as it does.
>>288094811What don't you like about it so far?
>>288096253>it definitely shows its age pretty frequentlyI wouldn't call it age, but the naivete of the author. Especially with the themes of poor poor illegal immigrants, """neo nazis""" and alike. Like in that Miyazaki quote>Almost all Japanese animation is produced with hardly any basis taken from observing real peopleHere the author has zero basis from observing real immigrants or """neo nazi""" punks. He could do something about which classes of people become racists and why (generally the lowest classes, because they're also the ones getting replaced first with migrants and have to deal with them) but I remember nothing like that in Monster. You can even be sympathetic to the immigrants, whatever, but it should be at least somewhat believable, not just parroting propaganda.
Kapitel 33: The Monster's Abyss
Kapitel 34: Jürgens's Cellar
>>288098354Oh hey it's Edmund Kemper
>>288099316Thanks for the dump
We gotta keep the thread alive
LIVE
>>288099137First time reading this page, the void where Johan's face should be, gave me chills. Still does.
>>288097385>monster is bad because it doesn't support my wacko pet ideologyyou're in too deep bro
>>288098376>dis nigga serious
>>288098591Classic japanese
>>288098760>>288098777>no handcuffsAre you for real
>>288096576Wonder if it looked any worse when it was actually releasing, I know it's common for mangaka to touch up the art for volume releases
>>288099316Thanks OPReally good chapter, had me stuck in my chair.
