>>288083596The monthly format really is a shame sometimes, because there's no time for jokes so they constantly have to go from action scene to action scene with no time in between for anything else. Like in the original series I think there would normally be enough time for random shit like the villains reacting to "He can get up from the chair?!", the villains don't have time to plot/plan/ or be surprised by the heroes call back abilities, things only the audience would know about but they make for nice call backs, but they are things that would suprise the enemies who don't know. I notice it with certain other monthly manga they typically have to sacrifice small moments or slice of life stuff because otherwise the story would take 3x longer, while in a weekly format you have time for more bullshit. It took until last chapter to finally have a small scene with the old friend group and even then it felt like their reaction to gash, tio, and even seeing Kiyomaro for the first time in years was a bit weak.Raita still tries to add some soul between action moments but you only get so many pages with a slower format. I don't blame the writer but the change in release schedule.

It's really cool that all of them are in the same side right now and are fighting against the same enemy. There many plot points that are being set up from the enemy and allies side, so I think that it would be better to allow this first part of the manga just exist to the second part and third part dive even deeper in the new lore aspects and the war against devils. I don't think there wasn't a moment like "remember that character?" that wasn't really cool to be honest.
