Morel fought all of the royal guards in his own way but no one would argue he is stronger than them. Chrollo’s method for dealing with powerful opponents is methodical preparation to eliminate risk. Hisoka changing his approach after losing the fight and killing off the powers in Chrollo’s book puts both characters out of their comfort zones. Hisoka is more dangerous now simply because of his changed mindset. As troupe members die we are going to see the always calm Chrollo become desperate. That is compelling writing.
