>Isekai BUT a renowned mechanical engineer got trucked into medieval fantasy world and instead of managing his token harem he kick-started the industrial revolution, ultimately ending in replacing the newfound biomass friends with vidrelwould you read it?
>get ice fairy>get hot fairy>stirling engine
>>288090587>he kick-started the industrial revolutionno, I don't read stories with evil protagonists
>>288090732Fuck off Ted
>>288090732let's say he'll ascend to machine godhood and everyone except the goblins will be happy
>>288090587Only if he ends up achieving nothing because none of the logistics are in place.
>>288090647>flooding the goblin cave with concrete>>288090821Pre-industrial society is already in place.People often have this fantasy of "I'd go back in time just to explain these backward people all the wonders of modern science". I wish someone capitalized on it. I don't care if it's unrealistic. It's fun.
>>288090881there are like a million isekai about protagonists introducing water pumps and basic combustion engines and shit
>>288090897What about the full blown reshaping the land? Chapter 1 would be just building steam engine to pump oil faster and chapter 100'd be turning the kingdom of elves into a huge charcoal kiln.
>>288090881boy do I have the isekai for you>Ash is an 8-year-old boy with apparent past-life memories, who lives in a remote deserted village. As he remembers leading a bountiful life, he cannot bear living in a world akin to the Dark Ages, where not even the internal combustion engine exists. For that reason, he needs to consult books containing knowledge from a highly developed ancient culture, that is said to have existed far in the past. This is only the beginning of story about a young boy who sets out to revolutionize the world in order to rebuild civilization and achieve his ideal life!
>>288090966Thanks. The cover and description look like something I've imagined. Just less grimdark.
>>288090587This is literally just Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain. Yes, by THE Mark Twain
>>288090587Never read/watch any nation building isekai before? Industrial revolution in the in the way we know it (pure tech) only really works in a low-fantasy setting with laws of nature that are nearly identical to what we know, at most maybe a bit of magic slapped on it and you'll need a sufficiently high starting point in society, as in a low-fantasy setting just rising up with individual overwhelming power is probably impossible unless you are so overpowering that you completely stick out as an anomaly from the given setting. When it comes to high-fantasy (e.g. guns being useless even against low-/mid-tier individuals) and/or settings where the laws of nature outright differ (e.g. periodic table of elements being entirely different) then your previous life knowledge might be useless and you'll have to make do with general concepts about societal development, modern organizational structures, project management, business concepts, etc. but you won't get something like an industrial revolution done without some serious works of the natives. You will never be "the messiah" just from your so-called "cheat knowledge" alone.
>>288090587Where do i get one like in vidDoes it have somewhere i could stick my dick into
>>288091104>at most maybe a bit of magic slapped on itCarbon-neutral mana crystals come to mind.
