Chapter 59, 60, 61, 62, 3, 64 ,65, 67, 68: >>287890282Chapter 69
>>288094557So early?!
>>288094588Ah, so this is how at least something survived.
>>288094628What the fuck? This came out of nowhere.
What the fuck is happening.
>>288094693Jenohva, of courseThe entire later half of Psyren is FF7
>>288094714Why are they still thinking about this like it was some normal meteor. Maybe W.I.S.E. talked to it in a dream and invited it over, like why not.
>>288094739My copy of FF7 bricked after disc 1 so excuse my confusion.

>>288094837What happened to you, Tatsuo. You used to look moderately cool.
>>288094856Thanks. What was the author smoking, man.
>>288094658I mean, did you seriously expect a bunch of edgy FF rejects to have single-handedly destroyed the entire earth along with all their armies and nukes powerful psyskers though the may be? There had to have been something else, something much more powerful.
>>288095408I kind of assumed they had more recruits, and the warped landscape had more to do with the towers they built later rather than something that happened on Rebirthday.
>>288094856Thank you for posting!
>>288094739Mirokus ability is even called Sephiroth.
>>288094772That's exactly what happened
>>288094672The world egg...
>>288094697"a lot of people survived the global rebirthday">>288094654>>288094672>>288094686literally how
>>288096730...I really can't decide how I feel about this.In a way it's cool that the story is delivering on that schizo /x/-tier new age conspiracy theory tone of the first volume, but at the same time, W.I.S.E. simply doesn't feel like a schizo /x/-tier doomsday cult, which I think is the main reason this twist throws me off so much. Sentient alien meteor feels like it tonally clashes with the recent volumes.
>>288098060"a lot" is more than the 40 people at their base right now
>>288098060It's like Kabuto's uncle who'd probably be alive if he hadn't broken his leg. The population centers got destroyed, major electronics that were in the open were destroyed, but stuff that was sufficiently remote or underground could survive. So some people survived because they were in a rural area that wasn't heavily targeted. Others survived because they were underground and were fortunate enough that their location was neither torn up, nor crushed or had its exit blocked by falling debris. Out of millions of people it wouldn't be too odd if thousands survived the initial event.
>>288098151WISE was more cult and schizo in the present/past than the future, where they're more paramilitary
