Alright, it is Thursday and I am gonna post the sixth volume of Yashahime Princess Half-Demon. Feel free to discuss anything related to Yashahime (or Inuyasha) after the dump.Yashahime was initially created as an anime-only sequel to Inuyasha by Sunrise. The designs of the main cast were provided by Rumiko Takahashi. I have not watched the anime. The manga adaptation was made after the first season and was written and drawn by Takashi Shiina, the creator of Ghost Sweeper Mikami and most likely the biggest Rumiko Takahashi fan in the world. As such, I decided to read and story time this series as well. Anyways pretty good volume, as good as anything Yashahime could be that is. I enjoyed the little mini-reunion between Moroha and InuKag, and I really like Shiina’s interpretation of Shiori, much better than the anime which had Shiori remain a wallflower type, Shiina gave her some much needed spunk and sass and let her truly grow up in every sense of the word.I also enjoyed the little ship excursion and always thought it was a missed opportunity that Inuyasha Proper never had a ship episode considering how JRPG-like it is, and battling demon Krakens on a ship while sailing across the World Map is one of the classic JRPG staples y’know?
