Summary time.We begin with Akagawa's high school years, with a POV shot of someone asking her about her house, and the collection of fetiches kept there. Akagawa interrupts their questioning, saying how this is literally their first meeting and she doesn't even know who they are. This leads to the reveal that this is how Akagawa and Tokiko met.Now onto the present, Akagawa's office is being raided by the friends and families of the Gray part-timers she misled, as well as the survivors who were skimmed by her. This is what Yume meant by helping her, because if she was still inside, she'd have been caught by the sudden explosion that erupted from within. Jin then drags Akagawa, kicking and screaming, to their hideout. There, Akagawa starts going off on how evil deeds really do come back to bite you, and now that she's free, she's come to realize she must be the reincarnation of the Buddha, meant to bring peace to the world.Jin is worried she's broken, but Yume doesn't really care, moving onto the next item on the list, a personal matter of hers. They're staging a raid on Q."Buddha Akagawa" tries to not to get involved, but Yume changes the subject, asking her about her very first Gray job.Back to the past, Akagawa asks Tokiko to help her with a Gray job she got. It's pretty simple, they'll copy a "cursed" VHS tape 10 times, and they must be watching it all the while to make sure the image doesn't change. They'll be paid 20k yen per copy, 200k in total. Akagawa's willing to split the money 8:2 with Tokiko, her very first scam.Onto the job itself, they're just watching regular home movies, which bores Akagawa to death. Tokiko wonders what purpose these home movies were stitched together, bringing up the previous condition of always checking the video to make sure the image doesn't change. That's when she notices there is a man, doing a peace sign, in the background of every home movie.
They're taking turns watching so they don't fall asleep. Suddenly, Tokiko asks Akagawa if she thinks humans can come back from the dead. "Huh?" is her reply. Tokiko elaborates, saying that if ghosts exist, then that must also be possible. At that same time, the video reaches its ending, and the peace-sign man appears covering the entire screen with a loud blare of static. Akagawa is startled, but Tokiko seems amazed.Back to the present, Yume gets to her plan. Next week, they're going to have a meeting with Q, and they're going to plant a bomb in the meeting place.Akagawa falls from her chair and complains she's not onboard with this plan, but Yume and Jin just chuckle to themselves. That's it for now. Next chapter on next Friday.
