Is it ever explained why the Code Geass world has absolutely no concept of "superpowers"?People see Suzaku spin-kicking a mounted machine gun, Kallen dodging bullets, and Zero pulling off literal miracle mass-hypnosis, and everyone just accepts it as "normal." Nobody even hypothesizes that Zero has some kind of supernatural ability. They just assume he's a really good tactician with a voice changer.Is the concept of sci-fi/fantasy fiction just nonexistent in the CG timeline? Why is everyone so completely blind to superhuman feats?

Which is why anyone who got transported to that world should end up joining the Black Knights because public appearances says this guy's got super powers.

>>288119072Code Geass isn't well-written. It's a solid structure held together with duct tape that ends with a good ending with questionable execution because they had to cut half the series. If you watch Geass for the writing, you're watching it wrong; it's pure stupid and creative fun without any sense, like gurren lagann but badly written. Nobody questions things about it. In episode 6, the cat goes around the school wearing Zero's mask and Lulu hypnotizes two girls, but ignores the rest, and everyone sees the mask, even security cameras, but nobody questions anything, not even Suzaku. Then Vileta investigates the school and concludes that Lulu could be Zero, but only because she remembers his face the first time he saw her.The characters act like idiots in battle, but also in everyday life. Suzaku got more plot armor after being geassed but it doesn't matter, it's anime logic, unrealistic things happen.

>>288117708The real, unfunny answer is that there was originally supposed to be an in universe explanation for why Suzaku effectively has superpowers but after the initial plan for R2 got derailed by Bandai insisting on a status quo reset so that new viewers starting with the second season wouldn't be confused it ended up lost in the shuffle. They sort of tried to retcon it as at least partly being a result of the "live" geass that gets placed on him but ultimately it just goes unexplained.
