>>288133982I blame the anime in general, and Advance in particular. It heightened the yuri imagery while at the same time skipping and reordering a lot of general chapters. It ends up a mess, and it feels like Kokoro is pushed so hard for like 3-4 episodes in a row, rather than a slow burn across multiple volumes. Basically, the anime was a lot more yuribaity, and it missed a lot of the side content of the manga. When the yuri didn't pan out (at least in the scope of the anime), some people felt betrayed.Also, pic related made a lot of yurifags seethe.
