I miss Eden's Zero. It didn't shit the bed nearly as hard as FT did but it also just flat out disappeared from discussion. I wish we got a season 3 to atleast revive some discussion.

Universe Zero really bugged me

He loves happy endings at the end of the day, he wrote Eden Zero to try as answer for the criticisms of Fairy Tail but ended up going back to his asspull mindset at the end of the day. However, what saved Eden's Zero was that it just ended at that point. It didn't overstay it's welcome. FT just kept on going so it still suffers from how bad Alvarez was years later.
>>288148863The issue is that it just erases the characters we've been following and their development. Even if you have the "OH THEY KEPT THEIR MEMORIES" shit it's not the same. They are not the same people. That is not how consciousness works. Doing it once after Draken was a shocking twist but we spent a longer time with the second set and watching their hardships and struggles and then it all just gets waved away.
