I did but it wasn't for me. I loved the technical aspect of the series and some scenes were genuinely nice, but I wasn't in the mood to watch something with almost no story, no sense of direction and little to no actual comedy. It was warming but forgettable.

the thing is that the CITY manga wasn't exactly new - it began in 2016 so when it got animated in 2024/5 the humor was a decade old, so the material was frozen in time for a decade and defrosted while current audiences kept growing
some japanese variety/comedy/owarai shit i watch now and is WAY different than what people would find funny in 2015, so it's kind of like that

you know, i get where they're coming from. i was younger and more optimistic in my early 20s when i watched nichijou, and i look fondly back at those times when comedy anime was new and i was more receptive of everything
that was more than a decade ago though, and i can confidently say that a lot of us have become harder to impress but we still keep a soft spot for shit we enjoyed back then
