It’s one of the most popular manga in western countries right now because an anime was announced recently, there’s only like 3-5 volumes out since it’s a web comic so easy to start collecting. The art is cute and girls love cool tomboyish musician characters. Very entry level yuri for people who may never had read it before with a lot of western references so good for normies. Everyone likes a fluffy romance where the two main characters are both really hot and old enough to actually sleep together.

The manga is a masterclass in marketing and using social media to promote your work. I think it's gotten too big to fail but I do see people increasingly losing interest if the shittily executed post-timeskip drama and increasingly worse art keeps up. I would've bought the first couple books for the art alone but all the post-timeskip art and designs have been a huge downgrade.
