Tetsuo Hara's follow-up to Fist of the North Star! An epic set during the golden age of samurai, inspired by a real life legend!
Previous:>>288093137The last volume had a single page of translation notes. I wanted to post it in the last thread, but it hit the image limit.

>His coat is a black-bay...In the Italian, this was translated as "marrone" (brown) but in the original Japanese, it's 鹿毛 (kage). I don't know much about horses. I think "bay colored" horses can have a wide variety of hair coats, from very dark coats to brown or reddish coats. In Matsukaze's case, his head, body, and legs are supposed to be a black color, but spots around his eyes and muzzle could be a lighter color. In later chapters, the color of Matzukaze's mane is described as white. I know a new Italian translation of Hana no Keiji is being worked on, so I'm curious to see how they'll translate this part when they get here. Maybe instead of "marrone" they'll go with "baio" or something. Also, I don't think we ever see Matsukaze wear a ceremonial headdress in the shape of a cockscomb (or rooster's crest?) in the entire manga. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Ganbare, OP!
I'll post the rest of volume 5 tomorrow.

>>288161556Most likely theory is thst he wished to restore ashikaga shogunate and oda stood in his way along with personal reasonsMitsuhide had his fiefdom confiscatedHe was regularly punished and humiliated by OdaHe had friendly ties with some guy who Oda would conquer so he tried to act as a mediator but it didnt workThere is also a theory about how gave up his mom as a hostage to a clan in order for them to submit to nobunagaNobunaga then crucified high ranking members the clan (it was called hano/hanato)Said clan counter crucified his momThis sadly didnt happen it seems and someone fucked up the sources but its funny to imagine that they tried to outcrucify each otherI for one belive that Mitsuhide had been mogged so hard by Nobunaga it broke his mind and caused him to act like a jew

>No half measures. In the original Japanese, Suke'emon says to Keiji:傾くなら 傾き通せ (かぶくなら かぶきとおせ - kabu kunara, kabuki toose)That's kind of like saying "if you're going to act eccentric, then be as eccentric as possible."
