His illness was more severe than Kaisei's mom's, but that's offset by how much younger and more dependent Kaisei was compared to Akane.I think what might be his problem is that Kaisei's Death is bound to be based on Issho, and despite everything, Kaisei can't help but love him. This ambiguity might work with the craftsman style where things can be left open, but Kaisei's current style is to dominate the audience with his interpretation. If he wavers for a second, his performance will suffer.
