On one hand, are and abrupt endings suck. On the other hand, I'm amazed this manga lived as long as it did with its cartoon-like artstyle. Other manga have been axed faster for less. It was a fun ride, and this last arc wrapped up everything by explaining how the world went to shit. There's nothing left to but wonder where Grenouille will go next with this information. At this point, it's just taking down Task King (Akutsu) and waiting for the next information reset or letting Task King continue since the world they once knew can't come back. At this point, the manga has told us it's final "Creepy and Freaky" Story. The wild ride is at its end. We should just see it off with a smile.

We already knew she won though. Task King was established to be running the country way back in the first 20 chapters. The entire arc was a flashback so I don't see what you're surprised by. She didn't even win that much considering the literal and metaphorical lobotomy; she's as much a slave of the new system as her frogs are.

Anon, this is the third time the manga has pulled this.

I'm still holding my judgment until I've read the final chapter but yeah, this fell off so fast it's freaky.

The horror turned into marvel action and the stories turned into bloated explanations that are there just to reach the chapter page count. This isn't what I signed up for.

And the worst part about it is that it looked like the author had a plan and knew what he was doing, turns out he just has the big plot twist in mind and improvised after that. Such a shame

I would have never guessed that N[]ss.T9 was the part of Akutsu's brain that feels empathy. Does that mean these robe guys were also parts of Akutsu's brain since they have the same mindfucking powers? What does Akutsu's face look like under the mask now???

If next chapter actually is the last then yeah this was a limp ending, but Ness/Yoda is still unaccounted for so I'd rather assume we're just heading into the final arc. Wouldn't be the first time the translator fumbled on this series anyway.
