Kgbfag here, just read Hal Formula and here's my take on it as promised.Nice first chapter, the art is better than I thought despite cars not being the best when it comes to depicting dynamism. Great drama overall however it was a bit rushed to fit into one chapter alone imo (surpassing your fear of crashing at 200km/h is a big hurdle). The part with the lil bro helping him decide to face his fears was great.Some of the paneling and composition were questionable though, like the first panel of the MC face being super small. The crash double spread was cool as hell though, that gets a bit plus. That and the F1 drivers being shown as a battle shonen villains made me chuckle. I also liked the part with the lil bro friend, usually they try to make these kind of conflicts black and white but I liked they treated it more realistically. Overall good start, I'll keep reading for now.
