It still would've saved a bit of time if he didn't use 10mb per page files, which were too bloated to work with, so I ripped the chapter again. I appreciate anons contributing, but honestly speaking just one tricky SFX/dialogue on artwork clean would be monumentally more useful than doing the white text bubbles, and what a cleaner should use his skills for. Actually anon, since you have the psd files, can you comment on the cleaning job I did? Removing the typeset text on top. I mean specifically page 01 bottom right, page 16 prushka legs, srajo dialogue page 29 I spent some time fenangling. I remember first chapter you worked on you cleaned a lot of the sfx and did a good job, and wonder what brushes you use (struggled to match Tsukushi's stuff here) and what other things you do for cleaning, and felt wasted time for meh results

The way I clean is almost exclusively reconstructing what was on the page with the clone/stamp tool. It's the only way I can match that fake paper page texture and Tsukushi's brush strokes. One of the only times I wouldn't use clone/stamp would be the chapter title swirly thing, I just reconnect the lines and then fill them with whatever color matches, blur the edges ever so slightly.

So what's the the point of the cage? Nothing seems to suggest Riko's key came from inside it, only that it was meant to open it.Nanachi was already under accelerated time-accelerated healing before the 30hr deadline was made, so what possible relic was in the backpack to heal Nanachi to this extent? I'm guessing the othes didn't know about it since they would have used it immediately.Also small point, they say in this chapter that no-one can enter the bottom of the abyss alive.Is Riko even considered 'alive' for that technicality?

It is likely that only signals can pass through, or souls. The way to reach the bottom involves turning into a signal and then somehow being recreated on the other side, like in the village. The pendant is a portable phylactery which will be needed to pass through the light of origin barrier. Something to that effect, in any case.

I consider the process time consuming and finicky too. I think that's just how it is (sosu).In one of the panels on page 29 I see some tell-tale signs of the struggle caused by the OG text covering the majority of the transition of a shading gradient. So you brought the tones together to a meeting point. The bane of my existence, so hard to fix because blur/smudge tools would ruin that texture that is everywhere and make the edit even more noticeable. But given that we are also responsible for putting the text back in it's almost possible to hide stuff like this so I don't sweat it too much.
