Apparently it was what he desired and somehow that created a single timeline where it happened (which doesn’t even make sense)Apparently when Eren saw the future it was already predetermined but that’s not how time travel works. Isayamas explains this by saying Eren is essentially a retarded faggot that couldn’t change himself and he was too much of a baby to kill himself. The whole episode of Bystander is eren gaining the will to live because the world is his birthright, but Isayama kind of forgot this part.So in exchange for Isayama’s retarded time travel plot (with a single outcome for whatever reason), he ruined his main character and made the whole story pointless. This dude kills his own mom so he could do the rumbling, and he doesnt even know why he did itWhy couldn’t there be multiple future timelines and eren chose the one that would secure a future for Eldians and it ended up being the rumbling which would do that. Shame because the setting and basic premise was really cool. A few changes in the plot and it could've been great. Also, spend some more money on the animation and don't make it look like shit.Just have Eren actually die, instead of the fakeout, and then make Armin the crypto-protagonist who has to rise up and become a hero and avenge his friends and family who thought they were main characters but never actually were. Don't have Mikasa be a Mary Sue. Don't do the whole tell-don't-show storytelling with every character. When the cool elite veterans get introduced, actually show them being cool and then don't kill them immediately. There's a lot of great story you can do from there as Armin slowly becomes a brave and talented warrior who loses a lot but eventually overcomes. Instead, it's all fucking retarded, drawn like shit, with cheap-looking animation loops.
