I think we can actually predict plot developments based on the autistic power system developments that have happened in this arc. Togashi will explain how an ability works in one context as setup for a similar ability used in a totally different context.

For example:
>Hisoka uses postmortem nen to come back from the dead
>Random mafia girl has postmortem nen ability to dispose of corpses
O MY RUBBER NEN was a setup for all the postmortem nen abilities used by the Princes.
Or maybe ALL of those abilities are setup for some reveal about the Succession War.

>The Troupe trio has a lot of exposition on how teleportation abilities work while fighting Heil-Ly
This was a setup for Fuugetsu's ability, and Kacho's plan to mark every Prince's room.

>The Troupe trio have exposition on "landmine" nen traps and "barrier" type traps
This is setup for the Succession War barrier. Specifically, the Succession War is a landmine type trap.

>Lot's of exposition regarding curses from the Have-Nots
This is why I'm convinced that a Beyond babies are going to curse and kill a Prince.

>Phinks has some exposition on how En can be overwhelmed by sensory input
>We're getting more En talk from a Benjamin jobber in this latest chapter
En will be important somehow in the future. What abilities do we know that require En, other than the random Ben jobber?

>Morena can "level up" nen by meeting conditions
>Chrollo upgraded Skill Hunter to fight Hisoka
Obviously, Chrollo wants to upgrade Skill Hunter again, but I think there's more too it. I suspect that Tse gains a new nen beast every time he meets some conditions.

>Lots of repeated exposition on "coercive type manipulation"
The only example of coercive manipulation we've seen was Momoze's GSB, and that was at the begging of the arc, which means it was just setup.
Coercive manipulation has come up so often that there has to be some big coercive manipulation event on the way. Cammyfags rejoice!

Also, cooperate type nen has been foreshadowed since we met Beyond's crew with Ging. I thought that was setup for Halkenburg's ability, but we still got more exposition in the latest chapter hyping up cooperative hatsu. Why hype it up further when Halkenburg has already revealed his technique?
I think Morena is planning some apocalyptic cooperative hatsu, that uses both Borksen and "the organ" that's been repeatably hinted at. In other words, Halkenburg is just more setup for a Morena payoff.

Cooperative nen was shown back in Greed Island, the bombers used cooperative nen and the whole game itself was powered by it. I think (one of) Ging's hatsu has something to do with cooperative nen, it fits with what he talked about with Gon and it's why he was so insistent on getting Beyond's crew to recognize him as their second in command - being in a leader position is probably a condition for it.

With your point about Chrollo, Morena, and Tserriednich it's helpful to keep in mind what the proficiency infographic says about Specialists:
>Sometimes their awakening to 'Ultimate' level is contingent upon training/practicing of the Type of Nen that Specialists are supposed to have a hard time with in terms of the hexagonal chart.
>Specialists have various complications that cannot be decided with a catch-all rule.
When a Specialist wants to reach the next level, more than likely they'll have to jump through some hoops.

I think this will have genuinely negative consequences for the Troupe, and will fuck up their plan somehow. They're powerful, but also way too cocky and the shadow of doom has been hanging over them for awhile now.

>Kakin organises a rape carnival by choosing a random and secret village once every few years
>We only know that the Kurta clan lived in Lukso Province, but it's not specified which continent it's in
>The massacre happened 5 years before the hunter exam arc, with Kurapika being somewhere around Gon and Killua's age
>It's stated that a carnival took place a year before the Black Whale set sail, so we can infer that the event happens every 3/4 years
>Now let's take a look at the Phantom Troupe backstory
>People close to the mafia families (which are connected to the Kakin princes) were involved in kidnapping and trafficking Meteor City residents, including Sarada
>We know Chrollo has been tracking the people involved in her murder, one of which was the "philanthropist" Risnorth
>In the last chapter batch we found out that Risnorth died 10 years ago and the Phantom Troupe most definitely had a hand in its death. Given what the guy was up to, it's safe to say there was an investigation on it

To summarise: The PT killed the human trafficking guy 10 years ago, people linked to the mafia and Kakin likely caught wind of it and used the upcoming carnival to kill the Kurta Clan and blame the Troupe for it

Nothing will probably happen. It's like saying the Zoldycks would face consequences because they carry out assassinations.
The PT killed thousands of mafia members in Yorknew alone. Even if some of the mafia members have Nen, they'd most likely get one-shotted like Lynch.
The only groups that realistically pose a threat to them are the Zodiacs, GSB, and the HA's top hunters.

I was just thinking back to our old buddy Rihan and his assessment of Sale-sale's GSB: the means for a perfect dictatorship with 100% approval as long as your opponents are idiots who don't do anything. That led me to think: could the GSBs be manifestations of their owners' political strategies and attitudes toward power? For instance, Sale-sale would think "I'm powerful because everyone likes me and thinks I'm cool. If I can just get everyone to like me my reign will be perfect." How does this map onto the other characters whose GSBs we've seen?

Momoze thinks "I'm powerful because I can order a person to do anything I want, they can't disobey." Kacho thinks "I feel powerful when I'm with Fugetsu, I want to make sure we can't be separated." Kacho thinks "Having power means being safe no matter what so I need a way to escape if I'm threatened." (These are young girls so their thinking is less sophisticated.) From this starting point, I'm guessing that Zhang-Le's coins have some kind of manipulative effect. He would think "I'm powerful because I know who to reward in exchange for their support."

Luzurus, being a drug dealer, thinks "I'm powerful if I can give people their fix," so his GSB traps people using their desires. Taithon thinks "I'm powerful because I make everyone happy and content," so her GSB lulls people into a blissful stupor, compared to Sale-sale who more wanted people specifically to like him. Tubeppa thinks "I'm powerful because I can offer people what others can't," so her GSB creates special chemical compounds and supports her making deals with people.

>>289525320

Yeah this another thing I was thinking. After writing >>289525277 I came up with this scenario

A. The mafia somehow tricked the Phantom Troupe to initially attack the clan under false pretense (maybe something to do with Sheila?)
B. The Troupe engage in battle with the Kurta warriors (who most likely possess scarlet eyes) and kill them, PT leave either because they think they've got their "revenge" or Chrollo realises something's up
C. The mafia arrives just before the carnival starts, kill anyone still resisting and take all the scarlet eyes. After the festival is over, they frame the Troupe by using the Meteor City revenge slogan
D. The mafia then starts auctioning the eyes on a secret market and keep some as a gift for the princes, which is how Tser gets the eyes.

Still can't figure out an explaination for the head in the jar, assuming that actually belongs to Pairo
>>
>>289525437
Halkenburg is a firm believer in equality/reform and his GSB gives STRONG NEN when in a group.
Tserriednich hates lying whores and that fits pretty well with his GSB.

What about Cammy and Ben? Cammy's beast with its many teats may invite people to drink its milk in exchange for controlling them. Her strategy is about doling out favors to the lowest people in society in return for their undying loyalty. Benjamin's beast probably has some kind of straightforward combat ability, his political strategy is rule by force. He would also want a system that can continue even if the leader dies, which may tie into his "godhood" plot.
>>
>>289525380
>I think that's the simple limited of the conjured objects, they can only overpower human level threats
That would be arbitrary. The point of "invincible" type abilities is not that they're invincible, because they can't be. Nothing can be. It's that they're close, and characters know that, but treat them as invincible anyways because making the distinction every time would be asinine.
A handful of nukes would make short work of Muteking and LSDF. A normal human whose punches are the equivalent of nukes would as well. Kurapika says as much during the fight with Uvo: he'd need raw physical power to break Chain Jail. Theoretically, this is possible, which makes the ability feasible, but realistically, it's not happening, because nobody is that strong. The aforementioned abilities are in the same camp.
If the "first come, first served" rule is malleable with enough STRONG NEN, then this is no different.
>>
>>289524843

There's got to be some downside to cooperative nen or all the most powerful nen users would be members of nen cults who would go around wrecking hunters and spiders and take over the world. Maybe the catch is that for group nen boosting to work, every member of the group has to be in total lockstep agreement about their goals. If anyone has the slightest bit of doubt it wrecks the amplification effect and the members can't even tell who's causing it.
>>
>>289525490
It's been stated that Hunters tend to be selfish and independent so it makes sense that very few Hunters would make a cooperative ability since it goes against their personality and nature.
I think what you said is more or less true though, it also makes sense that manipulated people couldn't be used in group nen otherwise a manipulator could just control a bunch of people to get very strong group nen.
>>
>>289525486
If Meruem could overpower the Bodhisithava grip, there is no reason he can not overpower the LSDF bots.
Any explanation why one case holds and not the other is basically headcanon.
>>
>>289525445
>Kacho thinks "Having power means being safe no matter what so I need a way to escape if I'm threatened."
Nah, the narrator explicitly stated that it was her fear of losing her sister, or her sister losing her. Nothing about being safe or escaping. She just didn't want to be without her sister, and she didn't want her sister to be without her. Considering her and Fugetsu I think that the GSB aren't specific to the political ideas of the princes. That stuff is likely important, but only for the princes that actually seek the throne. The GSB seem more like they are related to the obsessions of the princes, the twins were obsessed with each other, but many of the others are obsessed with the throne, where their ideas involving politics would matter.
>>
>>289525529
Also remember that Nen as an element of imagination have a visual component.
A lot of nen users deduce the effects of abilities based on how they look.
One of Benjamin Kakin soldiers deduce that his ability could destroy easily one of the princes Nen beast just because the beast looked weak / not that aggressive / not fighting type (don't remember the exact wording).
The LSDF don't look that strong.
>>
>>289525490
Group nen makes the whole weaker. Psychologically they will be less inclined to do things without their boosts.
Halkenburg's men have zero initiative by themselves and would lose 1v1s.
In a straight up war situation you can pin point halkenburg's precise location at all times due to the extreme power. You can also tell how many guys are with him.

All his men are marked, and by themselves are quite weak. The pay off to all that nen is also quite weak. The only upside is that they are functionally impregnable when in a group.

Its an "all in" ability that would fall to a concerted guerilla campaign. You can seal his movements through this.

Kaiser and Furykov are BOTH being manipulated by Camillas GSB. They are being sent to trap other princes. I think the abilities works on direct touch BUT it has to be a male. Looking at Cammy's entourage its all females. This suggests she is a misandrist and since GSB abilities take after their hosts personality it makes sense. We have seen Fury directly touch Cammy which afterwards she got detained and sent to the juridical bureau where she could have came in contact with Kaiser.

They are BOTH trying to trick other princes into self destruction. Melody is already onto Kaiser. As for Fury, Cammy used the info she got from Kaiser on the rumor that Halkenburg is Unma's son and used that info to trick Benjamin. Fury mixed half truths to convince him.

Cammy KNOWS that Benjamin is coming after her. There is a reason she didnt exorcise the owl ability. Furykov is not there with Benjamin after planning to invade Cammy and Tse.

Remember Cammy acts like shes stupid but if you look at her crew shes the most prepared after Benjamin and even knew nen. Everything she did so far may seem rushed without thinking but shes planning everything out.

>There's got to be some downside to cooperative nen
The fact that it's coopoerative is a massive hurdle by default. People really underestimate how hard it'd be to rope others into making a combo superpower.
Even beyond convincing and being able to work with people to make co-op nen abilities, you all have to train them and make them. You can already screw up and/or take forever learning a hatsu. Now you need to rely on other people also not failing or just changing their minds to do something else that's self-sufficient. Or dying at any point.
It's an immense risk. Ging and his friends are all insane for making Greed Island, not only because of how much of a feat it was, but becauase it shows they all shared bonds most people would struggle to make a single one of.
>>
>>289525543
You know, the people in the story can make a judgement on how strong any given nen construct or ability is, by seeing the aura imbued within it. Back in Uvo's fight with Kurapika he could tell that Chain Jail was a threat because he could actually see how much power it had. Other than that Kurapika's chains look like normal chains, they aren't threatening in appearance.

Wasn't there a theory that Kaiser and Keni are connected somehow because the kanji in their names both have to do with leadership? Kaiser was literally "emperor" and Keni was something like "authority".
Combined with the fact that they both look alike and that Morena's crew has some times with the Cackinn Justice Bureau, I think it makes a lot of sense that they could be siblings, Kaiser is being manipulated by Keni, or that they're literally the same person, and Kaiser is a self-manipulated alter-ego.

>>289525573
The issue is more that there ARE discrepancies in Furykov's story but these are not brought up in the initial conflict between Ben and Fury. Why?

If Togashi decides to skip it,'it would be like Ben becoming retarded to allow the plot to move forward.

If it is built in and Benjamin suspects foul play it would come up at a later date. Who knows really.

But Furykov basically acts and looks manipulated already. It should be tested.

Do you think that curses have some kind of logic?

Assistance Request — High Priority
Location: Glam Gas Land.
Your presence is requested tomorrow morning in the vicinity of the hotel indicated in the attached coordinates. A contact phone number is also included.
Reason: Evaluation and possible exorcism of two Nen phenomena of unknown or

Case 1 — Nen Beast Produced by a Possible Ritual

The available evidence suggests a Nen ritual performed by a Specialist-type user.
As far as I have been able to determine, the ritual required, as preliminary conditions, the sacrifice of at least a dozen people and the forced participation of multiple Nen users, who were compelled to complete a series of challenges involving the application of different Nen techniques.
Once these conditions were fulfilled, the user of the technique underwent what appeared to be an advanced stage of pregnancy despite the absence of any possible biological explanation. The ritual culminated in the birth of a parasitic-looking Nen Beast.
The creature was subsequently presented as a gift to one of the ritual's participants. The ritual's creator stated that the recipient was free to do whatever they wished with it, including selling it, destroying it, or absorbing its aura.
The Nen Beast currently remains with its designated owner of its own apparent free will. It emits an extremely intense hostile aura; however, thus far we have found no evidence that it is draining its owner's aura or attempting to actively control them.
>>
>>289525673
(cont)

Case 2 — Possible Nen Curse

The second phenomenon appears to be a possible Nen curse.
The user responsible appeared to be a Conjurer and employed a conjured musical box accompanied by a Nen Beast.
Immediately before activating the technique, the user concentrated virtually all of their aura into a single ability and voluntarily entered a state of Zetsu.
The technique simultaneously targeted two Nen users. One successfully avoided the effect, while the other was struck.
The resulting phenomenon took the form of a Nen mark that entered through the victim's neck and subsequently spread throughout the body without any immediately observable effects.
No physical contact between the user and the target was observed during the activation of the technique.
My preliminary hypothesis is that this is a semi-coercive Nen ability whose activation conditions remain unknown.
I would greatly appreciate any preliminary assessment you can provide prior to our in-person meeting. If the information above is sufficient to identify the nature of either phenomenon, any observations or conclusions would be invaluable in planning tomorrow's intervention.

The invincibility ability shows that manipulators can do more than simply "manipulate people/objects" with nen.
It seem to be able to manipulate concepts and have reality bending powers similar to conjuration.

He's not.

Illumi wins in amount of manipulated people. Granularity in manipulation level. Level of control over target. Versatility in how it's applied. Manipulation medium can be discarded after use (car bomber needle men). Has a specialty needle that can do it "all in one".

Shalnark is limited to two antennas and needs to use another console to control the target.

Because Shalnark gains complete control over anyone he sticks a needle into, allowing him to control them directly like a remote-controlled puppet, including their speech. Autopilot is also a much more complex application of Manipulation.
Illumi's control, on the other hand, is limited to simple preset commands, like crashing into a car, not fighting a strong enemy, and attacking a specific target etc. He just overwhelms his targets through sheer aura output and the number of needles he can use.
>>
>>289525947

If you are accused of a crime and don't immediately defend yourself you essentially accept guilt. If you cannot defend your honor when slighted you become a fool and a criminal.

Spider's cannot defend their honor because they are 100% guilty as shit.
When they are accused and haven't done that shit they will defend their honor.

When Kurapika starts killing them on a honor-bound basis they don't object to the killings on the basis of being innocent. This never ever comes into play.

I've seen this for years now and it's never made sense. You don't need manipulation to move your own aura. Is Hisoka using manipulation to stretch out bungie gum?

It won't be a multi chapter Gon interlude. Instead we'll maybe get a few pages of Gon every few chapters. From looking at the tweets it looks like Hisoka is in 420. Machi is in 425 and Gon is in 428. That tells me most of the page time is going to be on the boat for a while, but we might see the occasional Gon scene. I also don't see us getting Hisoka or Machi until SML properly kicks off too. So even more reason to expect we're still mainly looking at Benjamin and his guards attacking the other princes for a bit.

Netero uses Transmutation for the buddha, not Conjuration. The statue isn't real. Emission is used because it's separated from his body, for Zero and the teleport. He doesn't use Manipulation, it's controlled via prayers and hand signs. He can't move it as he pleases, something a Manipulator would be able to do.
>>
>>289526022
specialization is specialization.
even "conjured" or "emitted" objects don't actually fall into emission or conjuration category because they're the result of specialization and it comes at 100% proficiency.
Someone could have a specialist ability that boosts their aura with the same proficiency as an enhancer and also shoots 100% proficiency aura beams. Maybe a sentai transformation for instance.

>Autopilot is also a much more complex application of Manipulation
His Autopilot is a nen vow. What's so complicated about this? He gains a temporary aura burst and suffers muscle aches for days after that.
Black Voice is a very simple ability in Manipulation terms. Shalnark dumps aura into target and dictate actions directly via interface. That's a basic remote control. BV is not as versatile and delicate as Illumi's needles. Not only can he create an army of Nen zombies and control them from great distances, but he can also manipulate human psychology, desires, memories, and fears, while keeping his target fully conscious (Killua's needle) without even high-level Nen users noticing that. This is very delicate skill that requires high level proficiency of Manipulation. He is also capable of manipulating his own body at the biological level, altering his appearance, facial muscles, , and skeleton - whether with or without needles. I don't understand why you underestimate Illumi so much, compared to Shal, he was portrayed as a more skilled master of manipulation

Kikyo is crazy. I also think Silva's parenting methods are just terrible. In Illumi's case, they might have gone too far with psychological pressure and abuse and he grew up to be an antisocial psychopath with a huge desire to dominate and control. In Milluki's case, they might have see what a monster Illumi had become and changed their parenting methods and spoiled Milluki too much. Killua’s the most normal kid of the family, he was probably raised somewhere in the middle, which is why he’s neither as crazy as Illumi nor as lazy and fat as Milluki. That doesn't explain why the Troupe would have done specifically what they did. Do you really think they'd just randomly decide to pretend this custom order from some Kakin Prince was a meteor city revenge job?

Anyways, from a story point, it's clear that something very specific will happen between Tser and Kurapika, and I doubt it'll be as simple as him just owning a bunch of eyes, because even some random-ass girl like Neon wanted to own a pair of scarlet eyes.

I also think it's worth mentioning that Alluka is just a normal child. They only found out she had Nanika when she was, what 3 to 5 years old? Yet there was no training on her end, physical or nen.
Almost makes me wonder if they wanted one normal child for whatever reason. I mean, being born after Killua can't be the reasoning, or Kalluto wouldn't have been trained.

According to Morena herself she's only larping as a royal, royal as in the blood descendant of Nasubi. She's not even a second-grade pretender, just non-royal meat. She apparently killed the real Morena (Tse's half sister if Nasubi was his father) who's now resting in a grave meant for her, and she took her place as a mafia boss. Tse probably thinks she's his half-sister, because everyone knows that's how the mafia works, but she's not.

Then again I have another theory. I think Tse's father is Beyond so he isn't even a royal himself, just has a queen for mother. I think it's possible Morena is also a Beyond child, maybe even born as a twin to Tserried. My guess is based on the two of them have a lot in common, and that scene of Morena giving off the deadly aura similar to Netero's. Maybe the rule was only one child from Beyond may enter the royal ranks. This would mean the other twin needs to be discarded, and so our Morena might have ended up tossed with the other orphans. Since the Beyond child isn't royal by blood, the mafia would be able to tell that through some method Morena already mentioned in her backstory, and so she'd be treated as trash despite having illustrious parents.

We can kinda deduce it wasn't personal to them because they have next to no reaction remembering about Kurta

Togashi's writing is bit unpredictable but it'll probably make sense in the end.
Tser definitely has a lot more to do with this mainly because of the head and his general attitude.

To revisit something from a few days ago, I am convinced that the seemingly innocuous panels of each Prince shown in chapter 404 are actually spoilers for upcoming chapters.
Because we're all mentally ill, let's go through and theorize about each and every panel and what it could mean.
To start with, we have this page with Ben, Cammy and Zhang.

>Benjamin reads a tablet while Furykov
We know now that it was this exact moment Ben was poisoned and we are witnessing his murder. This panel (along with the upcoming Luzurus panel) are what convinced me of this chapters secret significance.

>Cammy is having her nails done while reading a tablet
Behind Cammy is her massage table. We learn from Ben in most recent chapter that Cammy has a routine massage at 3pm every day, and he plans to kill her during her current massage at the start of Martial Law.
So, the most obvious answer is that this panel is spoiling the location of Cammy's death, as she's sitting about a 1m away from where Ben kills her.
However, there's also the possibility that Cammy survives.
If she survives, then it'll almost certainly be because of her coercive manipulation GSB. In this panel, Cammy is reading a tablet, and is presumably receiving a report of Halkenburg's death at the exact same time Benjamin is. How would she be getting that information? I think this Anon's theory >>289525573 might be right, and in a future chapter it'll be revealed that Kaiser is the one leaking info to Cammy on her tablet.

>Zhang looks at a coin
We know Zhang has already escaped before Martial Law is declared. I think that during his flashback, it'll be at this moment that he decides to take a coin to his mafia boss, and that's why he isn't present when Martial Law is declared.
But we also know that the coins can change faces. It's possible that the coin Zhang is holding has changed faces at this moment, and that changed face somehow tipped him off about Martial Law.
But this panel gives us the least to work with.

I just thought about it for a bit ironically then went on to seewhat they had in common

>Long journey with a lot of money (race's prize money vs guard's payments for protecting the princes)
>The journey is actually a facade for a something more important (Finding Jesus's corpse vs choosing the new King of Kakin + finding the real Dark Continent)
>The leader of the country taking part in the voyage believes wants to improve and further protect the country (Funny Valentine vs Nasubi)
>Major search for body parts belonging to people of importance in the story (Jesus vs Kurta Clan)
>One of the characters takes part in the voyage because it will help his tribe (Kurapika vs Soundman)
>One of the main characters is part of the journey to protect a child from death (Gyro vs Oito)
>The protagonist is in someway involved in specific lessons that are supposed to help his goal (Johnny and Gyro's lessons vs Kurapika's nen classes)
The protagonist has some sort of dark will that pushes him to achieve his goals despite the huge risks ahead (Johnny vs Kurapika)

>Tserriednich trains with Salkov
The first and most obvious answer to these panels are that it's foreshadowing that Tserriednich is the secret Beyond baby. His unreal talent with Nen is on full display and he even has his hair in a topknot like Netero does.
However, there are a couple of other things to note, espically if we assume Tse isn't Beyond's child.
We know from chapter 413 that Tse and Salkov are still doing this zetsu training when Martial Law is declared. So, Tse will probably see Benjamin attacking room 1004 with his future sight, giving him 10 seconds of prep-time to come up with a plan. I'm convinced he'll use his ability to fake his own death, which is why Benjamin has moved his focus over to Zhang in the flash forward.
Also, Salkov is a confirmed curse Beyond bastard, possibly meant to curse Tse. Benjamin has standing orders to kill all personal guards, which means Salkov is a probably going to die once Martial Law begins.
The most likely scenario for Martial Law, based on logic and the foreshadowing in these panels, is that Benjamin arrives at Room 1004 and immediately kills everyone there. Salkov dies for real, but Tse is still alive thanks to his ability. Theta is in the corner of the room, far from the action. Tse wouldn't want Theta to escape or be killed, so I think it's likely he'll rescue her with his ability, leading to only Salkov's death.
Salkov's curse will hit Tserriednich as soon as his ability wears off, which creates a weird dynamic where Tse is dying but everyone assumes he's already dead, and Theta is forced to try save him by his GSB.

So Chrollo is an irresponsible retard? They all are? Because they allow a killer seeking to restore his clan's honor to wrongfully kill them all, when they could easily squash the blood feud through explaining their innocence?

Your view makes the spiders incredibly idiotic for willfully navigating a feud in the worst possible way, if they indeed bear little or no responsibility for the genocide.

Not defending one's honor when accused of heinous crimes is essentially admitting guilt after all. And this is something spiders wouldn't do. As we've seen. They don't take credit for crimes not committed by them, but never raise any objection when they realize kurapika, their killer, is motivated by blood debt and revenge.

It is not even brought up internally. Hence, they are guilty.

The only thing a condition does is increasing aura amount.

Aura amount = beneficial effects

What the robots do is be invulnerable and remove unwanted guests.

Meruem has so much aura he can override any invulnerability, and so much raw strength no one can force him to go anywhere.

Halkenburg and a crowd of 30-40 supporters would also, similarly, be totally immune to the effects based on sheer aura output.

As if they'd just meet the Kurta, play chess with them, stroke their cocks and leave. Of course they killed them, and I'm thinking the reason was because the Kurta might have done something to Sheila. Kurapika did say that Sheila was to hurt and to weak to simply leave when she did, but she was just gone the next day. Obviously the elder did something.

>Tubeppa looks at a computer
This probably relates to information revealed in Tubeppa's letter from Fuugetsu / Kaiser. We have no hints or ways of knowing what that letter contains until it's revealed at a later date.

>Tyson sings a song. Her book is on a pedestal and everybody cheers
The activation conditions for Tyson's GSB are to receive a Book of Tyson and read it.
Izunavi has a plot to give King Nasubi a book during the next Banquet. I doubt this will actually work, as GSB's can't attack other Princes directly, and I assume this protection extends to Nasubi.
However, I think the singing in this panel is actually important, and we might see a big Tyson play at the next banquet after all.
An often forgotten fact is that Tyson has already given her book to all the Queens of the lower ranked Princes, and she even confirmed that they wouldn't have thrown the book away. If any of those Queens read from her book then they will be manipulated by Tyson's GSB. Could hearing the book be read allowed also meet the conditions of the GSB?
We also learnt in a throwaway line that Tyson steals lyrics from songs for her book. If somebody were to sing one of those songs quoted in the book, perhaps it would be the same as reading those words straight out of the book.
So, if somebody were to sing a book-song during the next banquet, all the lower ranked Queens wouldn't instantly be put under Tyson's control.
It's the return of the Sale-Sale plan! At the next banquet Tyson will change the world!

>Luzurus panel
Luzurus is possessed by Halkenburg as of chapter 414. I'm not going to go into detail because most people here already know about the Rice conspiracy.
I didn't realize until right now that he's literally sitting in that same seat when Halkenburg successfully possesses him. When Halkenburg's plan is revealed we'll get a flashback to this moment like we did with Benjamin and Furykov.

My hatsu, called "forget me not" is a post mortem curse where any random person who witnesses my death and does not remember me once every day will be cursed, doesn't need to be a fond recollection, could curse me too, just don't forget.

After the first day they fail to recall me, every night they sleep, I will slowly grow out of their body, hidden through such potent In that no one can sense me even with gyo, slowly consuming a degree of nen to sustain my growth, though if the nen supply is halted for any reason I will enter stasis, they will not feel, hear or see me as I prepare to be fully reborn and rip myself out from them, but as I grow stronger I can deeply affect my host's subconscious, like intrusive oppressive thoughts, slightly altered memories that will need deep meditation to correct, implanting bits of myself within their memories as an old friend for example.

Based on how poweful my host is, I can dictate how fast I'd like to return, with the quickest being 2 nights of siphoning nen, but aggressive drainage may hurt my host unless they are strong enough, so I'd typically opt for a slow drip feed as I play with their psyche.

Once I am ready, I will begin separating from their body, the host is forced into zetsu during this process and hit with immense brainfog for a while which would allow me time to recollect myself post-separation and the host's confusion adds to my ability to play on their memories.

Those I am born from will permanently feel a sense of innate closeness or extreme familiarity in my presence, regardless of whether they think that I am an enemy. I cannot grow from the same person twice, and if my host dies whilst I am growing, I also die, but if necessary, I give aura if they are at risk of dying, I can add onto their sixth sense and alert my host to any risks and such, even provide strangely perceptive advice as "their thoughts"

Its never been tried. Every manipulator we've seen have manipulated mooks or has enough raw aura (shalnark, illumi) to make manipulation possible or guaranteed.

Zushi would not be able to manipulate netero except with enormous conditions. Just like he would not be able to hurt him with an emissions attack except with enormous conditions.

That's the deal, that's how these things work.

Youpi fought with Shoot for a while. Got attacked a whole lot and got a tiny little thing stolen from him. That also goes to show the difficulty in shoot's ability of manipulation and how much work he would need to manipulate the whole of Youpi = almost impossible difficulty.

The function of manipulation is that your nen is mixed into the target. A small amount of nen would not be able to control a large target. That's just logic.

Why is illumi's "special needles" a shame to use? Why does illumi even have a "special" needle when manipulation, in your opinion, is more like magic and not a nen attack like any other?

Why doesn't illumi just use a single tiny needle if that is all that is necessary? Why does he use several, depending on use? Why does he need to implant victims with a single, extremely potent needle if he wants nen zombies?

The answer is obvious= nen amount matters when talking about nen. Nen amount matters because you can have too little. If you want the good effect you want as much as you can possibly get.

The flip side is that you can have too little because the target has too much. See Meruem.

>Why is illumi's "special needles" a shame to use? Why does illumi even have a "special" needle when manipulation
The answer is super obvious if you take a step back and think about this. What other manipulator treats their control tool like it's disposable? No other manipulator to date that uses an object as the conduit for their ability can just throw them away like Illumi does If Shalnark loses his two needles he's shit out of luck.

So because Illumi never dedicates his ability to a single foci (as in a specific, singular object and not the theme) he needs to use more resources to achieve ironically less control. Shalnark's ability is full on coercive upon activation, the target is stripped of their will immediately. Illumi's needles range from Pseudo-coercive to full coercive depending on if they are regular needles and if he uses multiple needleman needles. When he stabbed that hunter in the face with normal needles, the guy was still struggling against the orders. And it took two needleman needles to force that one Zoldyck employee to drive Killua around without acting like a mindless zombie.

Another indication that Illumi's precision with manipulation is actually weaker than Shalnarks is that he creates raging zombies with a single needleman needle. Both because he doesn't restrict himself to a single focus, and because he can spread his control over a lot of targets, this results in significantly weaker control. We also see this with Order Stamp as well because mass control results in more autonomy from the host.

So the reason he stabs himself and fills certain needles with aura is to "show his resolve". It makes those needles more special even though they are sill disposable like the rest, and still generate weaker precision compared to other manipulation abilities with a single one. Which is why he needed more of them just to achieve what Shal can do with just needle of his own.

My big problem with this theory is that it makes Cammy's GSB the most powerful one we've seen so far. Which would mean Cammy is a more powerful and competent person then she is being portrayed.

Not to be a party-pooper but you're mostly just saying "thing happening once is setup for thing happening a second time." I'm not sure how that qualifies as setup, it's just a thing happening twice.

The teleportation point is more explicit. Phinks says a teleporter needs to mark their exit, then the chapter ends with Fugetsu on Tier 3. You're supposed to make the connection right then and there in that chapter. However some fans refused because they didn't think Fugetsu's GSB counted as teleportation since she has to crawl through extradimensional space. But then Togashi later explains she does need to visit exit locations. If you explain it to the reader's face, can it really count as setup? Setup for the letters, I guess, but the letters haven't really mattered. They were an ends to a mean.

Yushohi also complained about En back in his first appearance, before Phinks did. Both of his internal monologues were incredibly similar.

>. Phinks says a teleporter needs to mark their exit, then the chapter ends with Fugetsu on Tier 3.
not that anon, but we have two unaccounted nen beasts that were presented in the original reveal and one of them is a worm-like creature threading it's way around the ship. This one is widely speculated to be Fuugetsu's creature before it becomes effectively invisible but still functional. Tserri's personal nen beast acts like this as well, visible upon activation but invisible afterwards.

If this creature moving around counts as Marking, then it explains how she got to tier 3 despite never being there. It also explains how Fuu was moving around on her own when her manic phase began. The reason we think she needs to further mark locations is because she's now being coached by a nen user operating on normal rules who doesn't know about this invisible beast. But arguably she could always go to Luzurus' room because her creature has had enough time to work its way through the whole ship.

And it's maybe possible that Melody and Nencho already know about this and are simply playing Kaiser like a fiddle by pretending that they are marking locations by delivering those letters.

Yeah, it's still not a teleportation ability. But it seems that Fuugetsu and any guests are traveling inside of her creature. And this creature can only go places she or itself has gone. Give it enough time and she should be able to travel anywhere in the world although it's a coin-toss on how long that would take to happen. It was she and her sister's fantasy to go globe hopping with their little game, and we know abilities like Sale-Sale's could eventually infect everyone given enough time so it's not impossible.

Nta but I think all of Illumi's needles are "special'. He sticks them in his vest and they pierce his flesh, and they probably need to be charged with aura over a period of time, so even one represents an investment. I don't think he can just stick someone with an ordinary needle and manipulate them. It's likely that the # of needles he uses on someone determines the degree of control he has over them. So just one needle makes for a deranged zombie, but when he killed the dons, the guy he used to give the fake announcement had a ton of needles in the back of his head

My argument is that the amount he's using corresponds to aura amount. Because the amount of aura you can pour into an object is directly responsible for the degree of control you can exert.

Because manipulation abilities is just like any other nen attack. It can be blocked with sufficient nen.

Zushi would never be able to control someone as well as Illumi unless he used hefty (and I mean hefty) conditions to increase his aura amount.

We don't see him using his self-impaled needles for other situations. The needleman ones are specifically the ones with the larger bead at the end but his normal needles don't have this. And he also comments to Hisoka that he doesn't normally use them so they are at the very least not his default option. How he empowers his other needles is up in the air but he most likely just has to keep them on his person for a while.

>>289529947
>Because manipulation abilities is just like any other nen attack. It can be blocked with sufficient nen.
This directly contradicts the story itself where it's just conditions that matter and not aura amount. Weaker people can control stronger people just like weaker people can teleport stronger targets. The latter has already been proven and the former is the extension of that logic.

Your basic point is that manipulation acts like DBZ powerlevels and the story does not support this even once. I addressed your Illumi argument but you conveniently never bothered to engage with it which I think is telling.
>>
>>289529976
Pretty much. The more time he wastes on Kurapika, the less we see other plotlines getting fleshed out. The worst aspect of Kurapika's character is that every new information he introduces needs to be pondered over for at lest 10 pages per chapter, meaning 50 plus text bubbles, exhausting every logical possibility of how this new info might be received. I mean is that fucking necessary? Leave a bit to the imagination. It's like you told me it's gonna rain today, and I write a 600 page doctorate on what might happen during the rainfall. Really, all we needed was 3 pages for the baby swap info, not 40.
>>
>>289530071
My assertion is that manipulation is a nen attack like any other. We just have never had an example where a weak manipulator fails to control a stronger target.

We have however had nen attacks fail due to lack of strength. See Pokkle.

Had he been a manipulator, the result would've been the exact same. A massive mismatch in strength will have this result.

Nen users use conditions to directly increase the amount of nen available for any one goal. This concept is introduced by izunavi when Kurapika's chains are introduced. Re-read the chapter.

All is toward the goal of obtaining Strong Nen. illumi's way of using needles works solely for this goal. As is any other nen user.

>My assertion is that manipulation is a nen attack like any other
This contradicts multiple statements and examples from within the story stating it's not. The same is true for teleportation, people know that power disparity doesn't matter it's just conditions and triggers.
>Had he been a manipulator, the result would've been the exact same
This is your headcanon
>Nen users use conditions to directly increase the amount of nen available for any one goal.
This has not been stated to influence manipulation abilities. Range and precision of control are controlled by scope of ability and conditions.
>All is toward the goal of obtaining Strong Nen. illumi's way of using needles works solely for this goal. As is any other nen user.
Illumi's needles have the same caveat as Order Stamp. Sacrificing precision for wider control so he compensates by creating more special needles. Since you refuse to debate his point I'll assume you just won't bother having a full faith argument. But STRONG NEN hasn't been proven to overcome manipulation since the one example in text was a manipulator not manipulating himself before being shot. Maybe we'll see something different with the next chapter since Muteking is a pseudo-coercive ability, but since it has a stated weakness towards symbiotic abilities this might be a clusterfuck of an argument.
>>
>>289530363
Show me those "multiple statements and examples" within the story then.

What do you think coercive nen attacks are? Why do you think they need needles and such to pour nen into targets?

Zushi could just wish that Meruem was manipulated and he would be? Why doesn't everyone just use manipulation if it is absolute?

"Manipulation is absolute and also unblockable and also instantly wins every fight" would mean everyone should learn it at all costs

Now I don't even fucking care which one of them wins or dies because I've been so traumatized by all the babble that I'll take just about anything. It seems like manipulation is absolute, but the conditions for using a manipulator ability are strict enough that they're very hard to pull off against a skilled nen user. I think the best example of manipulation against a powerful opponent is Shoot vs Youpi. Shoot's ability was able to successfully cage part of Youpi's body, it was just practically irrelevant because Youpi was too powerful for Shoot to trap completely. So it's clearly possible in theory; just impractical in practice.

>Show me those "multiple statements and examples" within the story then.
Shalnark and he ant discussing and showing First come, First serves are practical.
Pouf and he ants concerned Meruem could be teleported away
Hisoka's more knowledgeable statement that once conditions are met, a manipulator will control a target
Balsamilco's more knowledgeable arguments about why Shikaku died

The fact that we've seen FCFS in practice is all I really need but you have to now show me proof that manipulation operates on powerlevels.

>What do you think coercive nen attacks are?
Attacks that assume direct control of the target.
>Why do you think they need needles and such to pour nen into targets?
Illumi and Shalnark use needles because they need to stick their targets. Illumi however only targets the head but Shalnark can hit anywhere on the body. This also hints at a difference in skill and control but not about amounts of aura. Do you not think the ant Shalnark fought was stronger than him? The only reason he failed to control Pel was because FCFS was in effect

>Zushi could just wish that Meruem was manipulated and he would be? Why doesn't everyone just use manipulation if it is absolute?
You have lost the plot if you read all I had to say about Illumi and Order Stamp, and think that a contactless manipulation ability would "just werk" on Meruem. At best we've seen Melody's ability work on anyone that hears it but the extend of her control constitutes paralysis. Free Bear could control Meruem if he answered 'yes' twice to both questions which he wouldn't.

>"Manipulation is absolute and also unblockable and also instantly wins every fight"
Retards like you who try and make things all or nothing disgust me. Some manipulation abilities still have to contend with physical and aura defense. Others that ignore those take more steps and don't guarantee control.
>>

If a Manipulator has a mind control ability and he gets you it's game over. He already used the aura to create the ability. Their items matter too.

This doesn't refute anything funny enough. Wing in the first 4 panels is talking about enhancing an object and how aura correlates to size. This also matches the current arc where MORE aura is needed to control smaller objects like Hinrigh and Zakuro's abilities getting low fuel rates.

Wing then says that on top of the aura cost needed to keep an object enhanced, Guido gave them commands. Which doesn't have a cost associated to them.

So basically, if you want to enhance an object you need a proportional amount of aura alongside it. This makes sense when you think about how Shu works. It doesn't tell us how much aura is needed to control something though so you so this argument is back to square one regarding pro-STRONG NEN backed manipulation

Just a case of similar strength manipulators working against each other
An object already reinforced with nen will be tougher to break for a manipulator.

Has been shown to be defunct in this arc versus a strong enough opposition.
When Benjamin mentions "group nen" you can just infer Meruem and the RG work on similar levels.

Being teleported away just works like stepping through a door. It doesn't actually act on the person in any way.

Conditions are met = strong nen

You have brought no proof that manipulation abilities ignore nen defense. Its obvious they do not. Or manip users would see no reason to have such steep conditions to their use.

That's the essential baseline in using coercive nen, or else you would have too little nen to work with. Why? Because total aura amount is crucial to exert control.

He still made an effective propaganda piece for the federation. He unknowingly or not made it so that the hero was attractive and effective, the viewer is guided towards appreciation of the federation. The "fakeness" works against the satire, allowing the user to "ironically" approach authoritarianism and enjoy it whole heartedly from a safe distance.

The source material won, the author lost.
Or he knew, and is lying, and you shouldn't trust authors when they're interviewed.

The only thing that matters is the actual text, the actual image you see before you. In this case the same goes for the stupid nen chart, something made decades after the relevant character were introduced. I do know knuckle better than togashi at this point, because I read it yesterday while his head has been filled with SW faggotry and old age for a literal decade since he last glanced at the character.

He goes against his own presentation. Especially wrt Knov. "Nen mansion" is a conjuration ability as shown by the story. That Togashi decides to reinvent it as an emission ability is his mistake. The wording is unmistakable here.

Conjurers can emit things.
The question is, which comes first? The mansion, or the portal?

Going by the presentation: the mansion is the main "mover" of the ability. The portals are an afterthought. The difficult part is making sure the mansion functions in the fifth dimension. The portals connect to the mansion.

The name of the ability references the conjured space. It is presented as a conjured ability. His personality fits the conjurer personality scheme (like kurapika, not like leorio). The user is more frail, more brainy. Compare with knuckle. He doesn't use direct force at all, ever.

Its a conjuration ability. Togashi made a mistake. These things happen, since togashi is a human being.

>This directly contradicts the story itself where it's just conditions that matter and not aura amount
"Conditions" are just multipliers to the aura AMOUNT you stupid fucking faggot.
I already destroyed you many times over the years over this subject.
Let's take for example Kurapika's Chain Jail.
It's not a "special chain" with "special conditions". It's a chain with enough CONDITIONS that work as MULTIPLIERS to give it a stupid AMOUNT of Nen. And by having such an overwhelming AURA OUTPUT, it can instantly put any Spider in Zetsu.
If "fulfilling muh conditions" was all that mattered, and Kurapika could make a "conceptually indestructible chain", he wouldn't have needed to test its strength against Nenless Uvogin.
Mathematical equations make NO SENSE in a "conceptual" power system. They make sense in a quatifiable power system.

It is a massive conjured object with numerous floors and doors. Its existence creates anchor points for emissions portals, facilitating emissions use.

The heavy lifting is done by the mansion. An emissions-focused ability would have a smaller space and more portals. The amount of work needed to put down portals would be lesser. For example, that a portal would go to any exit point.

See the portal ability seen in the SW arc. That's an emissions focused ability.

Which is doing the heavy lifting in both wording and action? Its obviously not the portals, who are never the focus except briefly (scream).
>>
>>289532856
>My view is that the fifth dimension (obviously) already exists
You're just arguing semantics at this point. What a pointless discussion.
>>
>>289532995
We have seen 2 instances of pocket dimensions (emission + conjuration).
Knov and the jobber in the whale.
In both instances the user of the technique has been identified as an emitter.
So the heavy lifting must be made by emission to make sense.
>>
>>289532844
Yeah, I have no idea why that's such a hard concept for the "muh wrong chart" schizo to grasp.
It's also a one-time conjured room that can only be accessed through portals. It's entirely possible Knov spent years creating it, or imposed some kind of restriction to make the room bigger. At this point, it's just educated guesswork.
>>
>Bisky was an examiner once
What was her test?
>>
>>289533053
You're working backwards from togashi's "explanation". I'm saying that explanation makes no sense and no one has refuted my points yet.

>>289533093
You haven't refuted my point regarding the presentation. Why does the wording specify the room and not the portals. Why do the portals only work when connecting to the room?
He cannot teleport except to this room. It's obvious the creation of the room came first, the portals came second.
>>
>>289532271
Well I'm thinking about it. The primary effect of Knov's ability is teleportation. The mansion isn't making the portals.

He had to of made a portal first because

>step 1: make nen dimension like Cheetu
>step 2: now you are trapped in your nen dimension because there is no exit condition (that we know of)

He had to of made a portal to exit the mansion before making the mansion, because of the way the master key works.

>>289532814
>Let's take for example Kurapika's Chain Jail.
It is a conjured chain, reinforced with aura born from Kurapika's multipliers, and with a special effect of forcing members of the troupe into zetsu. If he didn't stake his life he couldn't reinforce the chain as much but the forced zetsu would apply regardless. I don't know what conversations you had in the past but Izunavi didn't outline every single facet and nuance of nen with that one flashback. Characters aren't real people spouting random thoughts.
Every single line in the manga was deliberately put there by Togashi, with a narrative purpose.
Benjamin's thoughts there aren't supposed to be dubious interpretations of broader concepts of Nen. Those thoughts are there to show Benjamin coming to an understanding about the nature of Halkenburg's attack.
That an ability as strong as his could overcome "first come, first served" is not being treated as a point of contention from a narrative standpoint.
>most abilities are compared between human nen users and average aura pools between nen users
>they never saw someone like Netero nor a Royal Guard or Meruem
Yes, that's precisely why STRONG NEN is a thing.
It's the recognition that all abilities have limits to them. It's the only correct interpretation of Izunavi's lesson (who narratively existed only as a nameless Nen authority).
"You can't make unbreakable chains... but you can come very close."
You can't make an invicibility ability.. but you can come very close (it won't be able to stop STRONG NEN - that's literally said by the narrator).

This whole debate is an exercise of madness.
Back when the CA arc was being released, Togashi listed Knov as a Conjurer, and Knuckle as an Emitter.
>the databook wasn't written by Togashi!!
Oh yeah? So how did they know Netero's, Nobunaga's and Milluki's categories - when they hadn't showed literally anything?
But here's the smoking gun: How did they know the impossibly autistic spelling of the names?
How did they know characters' birthdays, that were later confirmed by Togashi?
Those who understand this subject deep down know the truth: the information on the databook WAS provided by Togashi.
Togashi CHANGED HIS MIND when he released that updated Nen chart. He RETCONNED their categories.
The debate is not whether there was a retcon or not. The debate is where we should accept the retcon or not.

You're right that there is a time and place where it makes sense form Camilla to have met him, but it's a story detail we weren't given in an arc that's been pretty consistent about showing the big moves by the princes on screen. We've gotten pov insight into virtually all the other princes plans which makes Camilla the odd one out if she's running a manipulation game along side her curse squad scheme.

Nonsensical. A king can simply disregard the meat sacrifice and black magic side and kill all the mafias. They are a king with total power.
Kakin's system enables total rejuvenation between kings. It is incredibly free in this regard.

There's absolutely no indication that a Justice bureau puppet/beyond controlled Kakin would stop with the human sacrifice and black magic.
After all, the entire coup attempt by beyond is powered by human sacrifice, child sacrifice and guided missile black magic curses that are inhumanly evil and super powered blood magic.

Their methods are evil and small. They exploit the weakness in humans. A king would never be able to excuse their existence. Kaiser's head needs to be on a spit. The first royal decree should be proscription on Beyond himself, who is a state traitor of the most heinous degree.

Next retcon incoming: actually there is an antidote for the TSK17. Ben doesn't die or become a god. This causes him to throw a tantrum and target the person who saved his life.

So the coin will finally come into effect and allow Zhang to escape before being cornered by martial law right? Otherwise I cant see another way he escapes.

Which two loyal followers will give up their life force for hisoka, feeding him themselves in a sexually charged fashion?

I did and that's how it works until Togashi decides it should do something new

Togashi probably retconned things.
But an ability evolving is not the same as retcon desu.

The manga never explicitly says he requires physical blanket or paper to work with texture surprise. That's your headcanon.
>>
>>289534227
But it explicitly states a sheer surface and he is basically creating a nen prothesis.
Saying that "the exterior of the prothesis is a sheer surface" is absolutely pushing it.
Just acknowledge that Hisoka was able to improve his previous nen ability and call it a day.
>>
>>289534227
Why would he use a blanket if it wasn't necessary?

>No, they are "essentially indestructible", which lines up perfectly with what Izunavi says:
No, the narration states that something like LSDF is immune to attacks. There's no condition applied like Muteking (a manipulation ability not a conjured one). The problem you people have is you assume a character is always fully inclusive to a rule of nen even when evidence shows they are not fully correct. We don't know the difference between chain jail, potclean, and LSDF in terms of creation. But Kurapika could not make an indestructible chain, but the other two abilities are shown and stated by narration to be invincible. Meruem using the combined aura of himself, two royal guards, and all his other victims didn't harm potclean either. So you can't cry about Muteking's limitations applying here either.
>"Alluka, destroy those robots."
Alluka may very well just exorcise them which isn't an attack. Invulnerability doesn't preclude exorcism as shown with potclean.

Characters have been shown to be wrong all the time. Benjamin himself was willing to believe Kajidol's speculation that Shikaku was threatened to kill himself before Balsamilco stepped in. And Benjamin being overly cautious about the newly discovered Guardian Spirits was ultimately a detriment to his plan since they wouldn't have stopped his initial assault.
>>
>>289534771
Pot Clean is a hologram. There's actually nothing there to attack, which is why he's invulnerable to a nuclear explosion.

What should be attacked is the curse/nen that resides inside the person afflicted. If one could expunge that nen potclean dies.

It is different from the robot guards who are physical beings that can exert force. They can absolutely be broken by the upper tiers of force. Its just functionally impossible for individuals to ever reach that zenith.

>They can absolutely be broken by the upper tiers of force. Its just functionally impossible for individuals to ever reach that zenith

You're misunderstanding what no absolutes means on this context.
They can't be harmed but on return they also can't harm others. So it's not that they're invincible, but there's a rule on place that makes reciprocal harm impossible.
The rule is not absolute, it can be broken, maybe by killing the lawyer or by destroying the place since it only works on an enclosed space, or by having some counter ability. But if you don't break the rule then you should still be unable to harm them no matter how strong you are
