While the episode is mostly well liked in Japan, I've read two types of opinions in Twitter against it, the first is from people wondering how little girls will feel about Arcana Shadow turning into the new big bad, big friends can understand that she's doing it to save Kurea/the world, but for little girls it just looks like she's being mean to the other Cures. The other opinion is one I've read here in this thread, the story is so focused on Luluka and Kurea that Anna and Mikuru have basically turning into supporting characters for their story.
Luluka still hasn't called Kurea by her name and I fear I have to wait until she joins until she does.

Even the finale focused more on Iroha's feelings about Komugi turning back into a normal dog than in Komugi's feelings about no longer being able to turn into a human. Komugi is fun to watch but barely any character development, yes the same could be said to Anna and Mikuru, I'd rather watch Mikuru's antics than Anna being a bore. For the ending of the two-parter, we have Usonoir depowered with his armor confiscated by Jet-senpai and with Kurea decided to live up her namesake (Not the Poirot one, the Holmes-Watson one). Now look because Madoka reference is very clear in these pictures of the armor. Luluka got a flash of inspiration to live up her namesake (Moriarty) as well even if it only around one or two months with Usonoir became her cadre along with the other.Next week, Kurea's first detective investigation after she joined the Star Detectives, and I got the feeling that we may have rotate the cadre in August episodes before Luluka decided to engage the SDs and decided to join them at August end (Probably in episode 30 or 31).
Episode 38 is when Heartcatch did the first heartcatch orchestra with the super silhouettes. That's about the time when they get Luluka into the team and it becomes the anna and mikuru show again. They need a group finisher toy to sell.
