>>289791344Aside from the start where his father is choleric and unreasonably retarded(though I suspect the author is trying to walk this back) the other characters, both friends and goes, are competent characters who can act with agency independent of the MC. MC is strong but not overpowered. The story is written as if he's playing a high tier class but not so strong it feels like an autowin. The autism with the game details also helps. They're grounded game mechanics unlike other video game isekai where they just max dump into one or all stats.
Not having watched the anime yet, judging by the screenshots, it looks like they didn't capture the style very well. Is that the case?
