I have read many an isekai, but I digress, I actually prefer to read the manhwa rather than the actual novel itself in most cases. If a manhwa really piques my interest and I dont drop it, I pick up the novel and read it in full in earnest. To me, the manhwa is the entryway to the actual novel itself. For the manhwa must be an enjoyable scrolling experience for me to decide whether I should consider picking up it's novel, it is the litmus test for any novel with a manhwa. Anyone else like this? Read the manhwa first, then the novel?

i started reading the novel for this and i like it i like it when the fights go very esoteric and disconnect from the reality of the fight, and goes more into the metal while still perfectly relaying the flow of the fight since they're all super humans, it's a way more surreal way to show off the fights instead of "he was so fast, it was like he teleported" bland descriptions, it gets all weird but still very readable. especially since it's all described as if every fighter is seeing the world in their own time frame based on their skill of loading up their nerves with mana, so even conversations would be impossible at these lighting reaction speeds
