Just in time before the next morrow, no rest for the wicked.

>>290827624Good morrow, noighd, please respond>>290635033
Will Haruyo ever find out what she means to Sumi-chan?New morrow in 4 hours. I think next is the final chapter of volume 4? Though Igarashi doesn't always end on dramatic cliffhangers.https://mega.nz/folder/SqoEGRrY#SDVv5jKw1zKuJpLDAyp0mgDorothy is working on Aizawa 37 which means 35 should be close.Igarashi's comments>When someone close to you takes their own life, it's like suicide becomes an option you're aware of. Especially for those with fewer options like young people. That was always in my mind as I drew this chapter.>Drawing chapter 19 was suuuch a struggle. I couldn't get anywhere so I started drowning myself in drink just to get through. It was something pivotal to the story I'd need to touch on eventually but the sense of obligation that carried turned into a heavy pressure. And the backgrounds, the backgrounds were types I don't normally draw. Backgrounds are normally a treat for me but these were such a chore, ughhh. It shocked me how much my motivation depended on the backgrounds. Good to know. Despite it all I really wanted to get this story out there, so I'm glad it finished up fine.>I gave Kasumi's school a retro feeling since it suits the narrative better. But the actual reason is I'm a stubborn contrarian who hates drawing neat, orderly scenery. Scenery that doesn't allow any liberties is torture... Let me remodel them... But if I'd personalized this chapter's cram school, the readers might get caught on thinking Kasumi and Karin went to some strange cram school so I had no choice but to make it as generic as possible... The backgrounds... The backgrounds are too serious...
>>290828031>that background textSasuga noighd.
>>290827923Man, selfish little Sumi-chan almost ruined the family BBQs.
>>290828139I'm a few morrows from 30 and my eyes are watering.
>>290828139god damn, what a page
Pretty sure next chapter is the ending.
I find it funny that haters are trying to defend Hal in Kimishinu. If only they knew she was from a yuri anime.
>>290828375Wrong thread?
>>290828436It's 100% the bot
>>290828476Oh, I did not know it was a post from the yuri thread.
There's an easy way for Kasumi to make Paruyo do whatever she wants.
anyone else having a little hard time to figure out when it was flashbacks and when it was current time?
>>290828585The flashback starts in 19-1 after her mother tells her to rest, and we're only out of it here>>290828108At least I think.
>>290828108I think we snap back to modern day at >>290828697
>>290828585Flashback ends here >>290828108
How many clankers we have so far?
>>290828585Protip: black page background is usually universal manga code for flashback/dream.
>>290828585Black borders are used during flashbacks though I was so engrossed by pages 12-15 that I didn't notice the flashback was over on page 16.
>>290828372No way, we have to follow the trail of letters at least to the 60s.
>>290827867Would need to land head first to get the job done from that height
>>290829057even then good chance of just being a veggietale
>>290828247I think "honto da" is a little less brusque than a simple "yeah". More like "(that's/you're) right" which still comes off as casual speech.
Is yaoi more wholesome compared to yuri?
>>290827950Yeah... sounds about right. Only difference for me was that it was never fear that held me back. If anything, I have more fear now than back then, if only because I feel like I have more to lose.
>>290829345>if only because I feel like I have more to lose.No you don't.
reading this chapter whilst actively contemplating suicide sure is something
>>290829608I have 4 cats now.
>>290829624If you kill yourself you can't read the next chapter.
Is social contagion suicide a female-only thing? I could swear it's not a thing that happens with guys.
>>290829665Women attempt suicide thrice as often as men. Men actually die from suicide thrice as often as women.
Wrong Adashima is oneeloli now
Man I love Igarashi's art.
>>290829202Maybe "It's true"? With more reverence for seeing things in a different light. "Yeah" is leaving too much unsaid, you're right.>>290828265The simple answer is I just can't anymore. I'm very stubborn and driven beyond my control. It's never been easy working on Sylph post-axe. I never intended to continue but lots of people reached out to me. It's something I never came to terms with and so became an obligation. An obligation I had to balance with how uncomfortable I was working on something self-published behind a paywall. And that debt of obligation dug deeper in tandem with that feeling I shouldn't be doing this.I was relieved for the official TL to start until it became clear it would always lag behind. Limping behind on everything I'm working on because Sylph was bleeding my motivation. I have never lost interest in the series. Reading it each month was always exciting until it came time to work on it. And I didn't want to hate the sight of a manga I love. I don't want to hate scanlation, but it's been so long since I felt good about it. I'm burnt out. I stopped keeping up with a lot of yuri and don't hang around the main threads much. There's parts I'm leaving out. The messages I got weren't all kind and I can be bitter too. I'm a wreck who couldn't sleep for days after my drop announcement and got too sick to work. I have 5 .txts of trying to get my feelings down and those are just the ones I saved. Writing about this always turns messy and leaves me depressed no matter how rational my mood. Menhera manga attract menhera scanlators, who knew. But I've been wanting free for a while. Obviously I'm still scanlating AriSaku and Aizawa but I can't see myself picking up more right now. Not unless it's something special. Turning to groupwork is an option but I have my hangups. There's time I need back anyway. Personal projects to work on.
>>290829973thanks for your work on AriSaku. your notes at the end are incredibly appreciated and it's been one of the parts I look forward to when I read these chapters.
>>290829973ffs Noighd stop being a bitch and just translate Manio's new manga, it's even every two months and Manio is going to skip months anyway, so you will never have to worry about not having enough time.
AdaShima sold out and now they're idols.
>>290829973I'll miss your translation and commentary on each chapter of Sylph but you never owe anyone a translation, even if they send you nice messages of encouragement. Some might not want me to say that out loud but you could drop everything on the spot and no one would be in any position to tell you off or resent you. Thanks for all you've done and continue doing, however long that lasts.
These autistic fucks need to exchange LINE IDs. The letter LARP is fun and all, but Kasumi really needs emergency contacts that aren't her family.
>>290829973But my Japanese manga told me that threatening blackmail was 100% effective....But on a serious note, my main regret is that your threads actually generate thoughful discussion, which I'm sure you're well aware is a rarity on yuri threads. Spambots aside, this is a haven and it's always nice to see walls of text whether from you or another anon. Don't ever let /a/ of all places bring you down; it's full of faggots. Hopefully your real life isn't as bad. Have fun reading, and have fun posting, whether you're scanning or not. We all would do well to learn Japanese.
>>290829973>It's trueMore literal, but for me it seems weird to follow up a simile with "true".
>>290829202>>290830412"fr no cap"
メイドに力負けするなんて恥ずかしくないんですか?Commoner maid dommes princess, released a few months ago
seeing things like this makes me wonder if I am a broken person somehow because of my experience with someone's suicide and my reaction to it. I also wonder a little how people who've never had to deal with the topic themselves take in chapters like these.
Fuyuki didn't want "the person who understands her the most", she wanted Eri. And now that they've cleared the first hurdle and Fuyuki doesn't have the fear of rejection hanging over her head anymore,
Less than half an hourmorrow.
>>290831063I think there's a good chance we're only getting a picture this time, Igarashi didn't post her usual yoroshiku onegai shimasu message.
>>290831180Ayup.
>>290831510>>290831510Buni-nyan...
What's with all the male gaze fantasy yuri LNs coming out?
>>290829973Not him but I feel like "It's true" sounds like a very unnatural response. If you want to revise it I'd definitely go with "it really is".
>>290831510I'd really like a clean version of that without the text as a poster.
And this prompted Eri's astounding growth!
>>290827719>Igarashi after I sent her the link to this thread
>>290831510Cute illustration but sounds like it could be more than two weeks.
Read the bottom row.
>>290829973Best of luck, thanks for giving us Liar Satsuki at least. And Shi ni Aruki.
>>290829973Take care of yourself and your personal stuff. This is just a hobby after all. Know that your translation is appreciated, but don't think of it as an obligation.
Chie won't forgive NTR
The foot licker job is to break the smug one
If she's not being smug about it, then what's the point?See, these guys get it.

>>290832338Chapter 20-1 is already submitted so it looks like next morrow should be fine.
>>290827784>friend dies>makes it about herwhat is wrong with girls
This just in, having a taller onee-chan who is younger than you is the key to suicide prevention in yuri

>>290829665>you now remember the vid of the jap jks recording themselves jumping from a buildingnot gonna lie, it's a sad video
>>290835620Do you have the vid? There’s a oneshot from Kodama Naoko that’s kinda like it but I need to rewatch to confirm if it’s indeed the case.
>>290827839>>290827867>>290827897imagine if this ever gets an anime, every couple of episodes will get those warning msgs at the beginning of the episodes ala oshi no ko
>>290835688>Do you have the vid?nope, I dont save that kind of stuff, I remember it was all over 4chinz back then so maybe go to gif and ask for it, yeah I know>gifbut its not like live leak is a thing anymoreif you have the link of the oneshot, maybe you could share it to compare it with what I remember from the vid
>>290827950Yeah, getting rejected from schools like that is rough, I couldn't imagine going through it as a middle schooler and a woman
>>290828195Uhh how high is that? What if they fall?
>>290838224I'm not sure that part is real.
>>290838224It would be extremely painful.
reminder not to be afraid of death
>>290827624As always thank you mister Noighd and take care of yourself
>>290828195There's something childlishly clueless yet powerfully defiant about Haruyo's utter disregard for the tradition of removing shoes when climbing over the edge.
>>290831510How many 'morrows is 少し?
>>290840841Should be the usual distance between two regular morrows.
>>290838224It's in her head. But does that mean that Paruyo is enabling Sumi's suicidal ideation?
>>290840965I don’t think so. In her mind she’s joining her to show her that she’s not alone. And Haruyo didn’t take off her shoes to indicate that she’s there to take her back rather than fall with her
