Well, it was an ending I guess. Overall I'm disappointed with this show, it started out great and then fell face-first starting with 6. It felt like it just changed direction entirely by trying to focus on a serious plot. It's a shame because 1-5 were genuinely solid, with 5 being my favorite. It was better when Mizuka was begrudgingly doing things, Ouka was a dork/gag character, and more of the other girls actually got screen-time. The first five had small bits of drama, that is true, but they were way more focused on light comedy and just letting the girls be cute without so much seriousness and high stakes. I really just wanted more twins focus but I guess I should just be satisfied with the cute moment they had in 5. These were the only two I cared about as far as yuri is concerned but I'm surprised they had Maria marry Mizuka's dad.tl;dr: It was an okay show that could've been way better.

And the issue is that she was so focued on that goal that she was willing to destroy the lives of others in order to get Maria to stop working. That was why they couldn't see eye to eye. But in the end she understood that the love her sister has for her, she is trying to cultivate within the sunflower troupe for girls who would otherwise not have homes. It was a great moment for maria to reveal that pocketwatch because it lifted all the weight off of her. All the doubts and thoughts about her sister abandoning her were unfounded. She was never leaving her, she just needed to help others have what they have. Familial love. Nanami was able to fly because she finally understood the purpose of the himawari troupe. That's, ironically, what allowed her to win. And of course she has to go tsun mode on them and cancel their deal because she wants them to stay together.I'll say again that the writing over the whole second half was weak and nanami's character suffered the most because of it, but this ending wrapped her up in an extremely good way>mizuka is now technically her nieceKek

Srs plot stuff was kinda weak and thin but still just decent enough for me to still be willing to go along with it for the most part. It's better that they went with the happy ending for Maria given this since I'd feel like with the shaky legs the srs plot stuff had that killing off Maria in the end would have just been an unenjoyable kind of fuckup. If we consistently had more of the charm of the cast and writing from the first half plus enough money for more than like 3 well animated circus acts throughout the whole show then it could have been a 9/10.

You absolutely could have had slightly higher stake backstory with Maria's injury/illness without banking the whole narrative on it. Shizuku had a fairly compelling and serious backstory, so did the twins. There was no need to go full bore on Marias in the way it did.
