Nue's animation & character designs genuinely look good. With the thick defined lined and detail, they can also get away with less animation at unnecessary periods. The fact that the author himself(?) reached out to the director and this seems to be a passion project are also positives. The staff in general are talented and will probably bring in more talent themselves. The biggest issues will probably that with such detailed character designs, if you're one of those kinds of sakugafags, there probably won't be as much character animation and stuff like that. Also, I want to see more of how the composting will look like. All in all, it seems like this was good treatment. Not MAPPA/Bones level sure, but pretty good

As someone who thinks KGB is generally better than Ichi, the recent chapters have been the first time I've been enjoying the latter more than the former. In particular, Ichi's chapter this week was excellent, with a satisfying payoff for Kumugi's character and top-notch art (indeed, the panels with the bazooka are among the best of the entire series). Meanwhile, KGB has meandered too much, and the short page counts for the last 2-3 months haven't helped. Also, big shout-out to Shinobi for showcasing a good fight for its 100th chapter and actually making me care about Yodaka's rival.
