This fight feels like it missed the point of the manga fight. Manga fight was all about "how do you literally fight someone almighty", the second he looks at your sword or looks at you he can just explode you or break your sword, however he prefers to break your sword because he revels in breaking your will to fight rather than just killing you. If it turns into an actual fight then the story is missing the point. In the manga it was all about creating a single gap in his awareness where his powers didn't work, which was ultimately based on two coincidences, the soul arrow that no one could have known about, and Bach foreseeing his death previously that day but overlooking it because he thought it was just a dream, he neglected his own prophecy because of his own henchmen. It was thematic, and the manga showed that Bach had good ideals deep down but he had just gone so far with them that he lost sight of himself a little bit, but as he's dying you see he's still held onto that ideal from the start, trying to save humanity from the fear of death.Anime fight just makes him comically evil and turns him into a giant target everyone can fight so everyone could run around shooting their guns trying to look cool. They basically made the anime finale for idiots who like flashy fights rather than what it was in the manga which was more like a game of how to overcome something infinite by exploiting a gap

There was a poignent scene where after he beats them all the first time he mentions the pain and agony they feel is the sting of life and therefore death and the world he is creating will be empty of it. But it also enhances the major theme of the final arc and series is that life is worth living because from it you are able to derive things like hope. Yubaha doesn't believe in hope because he controls the future and goes out is way to vindictively stamp it out in the most abusive way possible.My only real complaints are they basically made one battle into three separate repeat battles and that Uryuu didn't do shit with Antithesis to defeat Yhwach when we've had this whole build of it being the only threat against the Almighty. It also fits Uryuu thematically because Uryuu has spent his entire life trying to effectively reverse the past by bringing the Quincy back into the present and now he gains the power to literally reverse the past and he chooses it to destroy the Quincy.

He kills Yamamoto very dispassionately, and when he reaches Rei-o, he says he doesn't feel anything anymore when his right hand man says they can take a minute if he needs. The only thing that still gets a reaction out of him is at the end he's angered and despaired he couldn't save humanity from death, he wanted to reunite the worlds into one. I have to be honest, while the episode (and Cour 4 overall) have made some questionable decisions with the finale, this specific, exact scene was done almost perfectly. I was scared they’d ruin it with the wrong music or maybe Yhwach’s VA would fumble the lines, but thankfully none of that happened.
