Please don't be shit...
>>
I want to lick her scar
>>
bad source material = bad adaptation
>>
Reminder at the very start of anime the girl mc successfully killed the male mc
>>
>>292100123
Biscuit Hammer was sacrificed on the Satan's altar so this could thrive, I'm sure.
>>
it was directed by the same guy who did Martian Successor Nadesico it's a certified banger
>>
>>292086078
It had a bad adaptation because they had to scrap everything and restart halfway through after firing the initial director.
>>
>>292100571
I think we should start naming the fucking asshole. Kou Yoshinari, the brother of Yoh Yoshinari. Allegedly.
>>
>>292100682
The fucking assassin backstory is almost hilarious
>>
Reprints when? I am trying to collect all of Mizukami's shit because I am a retarded beta faggot please rape my face

if you are referring to english (or any non-japanese release) reprints then nothings been announced yet as far as i know, japan is getting a new 2 volume 3-in-1 release for spirit circle which i assume they're doing instead of reprints

if it's like the sengoku youko rerelease those are a separate license apparently so who knows what will happen outside of japan
>>
>>292100123
>biscuit hammer anime was complete dogshit
>sengoku youko was alright
the pattern suggests this one's gonna be amazing
>>
>>292100123
To be fair they probably would've announced this months ago and it probably would've started normally at the beginning of the season with everything else if the director hadn't died so its not like this is gonna be some rush job coming out in a month
>>
>>292102599
>biscuit hammer manga was complete dogshit
>sengoku youko was alright
Spirit Circle was indeed amazing.
>>
>trailer looks good
>music sounds awesome
>the anime is basically a sendoff for a fairly well known director
Neat
>>
>>292100682
It was him?? I always knew Yoh was the superior brother.
>>
>>292102651
Biscuit Hammer is just as good as Spirit Circle, arguably better.
>>
>>292102799
What arguably lol? Biscuit Hammer is his best work.
>>
>>292102924
There's a matter of preference (I think they're all fantastic), but Biscuit Hammer often gets looked down because of the weaker first volume and because its qualities are more subtle and reliant on execution than Spirit Circle. I like it more than SC though

The Chinese leaked every single frame of East in the anime. Spoilers
>>
>>292102567
I'm surprised big JP publishers like Shueshi seemingly always do English releases by licensing stuff to sub-contractors instead of having their own American shell company publisher and hiring their own English translators and stuff. Surely that market is big enough to make this a worthwhile investment, cut out the middle men, be able to do more timely releases to line up with anime, etc.
>>
>>292103304
a lot of them are doing that though, kodansha and square have their international companies now, even shueisha (mangaplus and if i remember correctly viz is owned by them)

the problem is those shell companies still have priorities (like viz has for actual weekly shonen jump series while they only release some jump+ series) so they still license out stuff to third parties when that's more profitable

on topic, i don't think there's anything like that for shonen gahosha/young king ours so it's left most of mizukami's works in a bad state internationally

biscuit hammer/spirit circle/solte have the physical versions at least but planet with only got released as a simulpub and now isn't officially available anywhere, the digital distributors for biscuit hammer and spirit circle's digital versions died and no one has them now as far as i know, and sengoku youko only got that partial release (but that's available physically and as ebooks at least) and climax necromance only has the digital release

solte doesn't have a simulpub but at least seven seas is releasing it physically and as ebooks
>>
>>292103173
It's kind of tragic how little East is able to do to take reins and prevent the tragedies around him. If he had a stronger personality I'm sure Fortuna would've been stopped earlier

Planet With's adaptation was actually pretty good, it's just that I wasn't into the source material. Author's always a bit quirky but Planet With went overboard with it IMO.

NTA but the anime was based on a storyboard by mizukami that he started serializing basically at the same time.
It was more of a media mix than an adaptation.
With the manga releasing it's first chapter in june 2018, and the anime releasing its first episode a month later.
>>
>>292100312
What does that have to do with this manga?
>>
>>292107612
He passed away while making this one apparently, RIP.
>>
>>292105382
It all flashes by too fast to really register, if you don't know the story; the cast of reincarnations is huge. I was able to read the manga essentially blind after seeing the trailer, and only recognized scenes after coming back afterward to rewatch it.

I feel that Biscuit Hammer does the best at developing the main character, Sengoku Youko has the best supporting cast, and Spirit Circle has the tightest story telling. Which is "the best" depends on what you value the most as a reader.
>>
>>292113428
You forgot spirit Circle has the soul of all his previous series
>>
My only complaint is that Fuuta's VA sounds way too deep for Fuuta. He sounds good in the other lives though.

>>

Seethe and see you (seething of course) for the next 18 weeks after it airs
>>
>>292113428
The way I see it, Biscuit Hammer goes for recurring small stories with an ensemble cast slowly developing together, Sengoku Youko weaves multiple questions and themes in the development of its cast in a masterful way, and Spirit Circle ties together multiple plotlines into developing linked characters in, like you said, a tight storytelling. They're all somewhat different kinds of stories.
>>

>>
>>292116683
I disagree except for volume 1 which felt more in line with older Mizukami works (a lot wackier but with less narrative cohesion). His later works feel more... "real" I guess?
>>
>>292117018
I don't know. The scenario wasn't quite as gripping or cohesive and the characters weren't quite as moving. I still felt something similar but it was way weaker.
>>

>>292117056
SC is the one with the big mystery box and the "plot" compared to the more straightforward Biscuit Hammer where the plot is more of an excuse to develop the characters (literally defeat X amount of minions and then the final boss - with maybe a small mystery revolving around the final boss real nature and such but not all that important)

So yeah if you're only looking for plot SC is the one to go for, BH is the more character driven one with the ensemble cast regularly interacting and developing, all working towards the usual pro-human Mizukami themes. I think it's doing a fantastic job at that.
>>
>>292117091
It's not just the mystery. Each of the past lives in itself is so heart-wrenching in in a way BH explored way more lightly. I really felt all of Fuuta's grief has he woke up each time. Only Samidare comes close as an individual character.
>>
i really like biscuit hammer but spirit circle made me bawl my eyes out multiple times

>>
>>292118618

The director passing away worries me for the last few episodes, specifically this scene and the whole battle within this incarnation.
I want to believe since Mizukami said to not worry about it, the late head director finished every storyboard before passing away, the 2 studios being seemingly great although the second one is new and the new director while this being his first time as ahead director most of his works as an episode director were great which gives me hope.

you beta's honestly don't deserve reprints. The majority of Bisucuit Hammer and Spirit Circle volumes got marked down and put in bargain bin's of major retail chains. They were available for months at a low price, now all of a sudden buying them from a reseller is too expensive?
Reprints are inevitable with an anime release. So I don't know why you are even worrying. But I hope your reprints are inferior
