>>8471776It's not about being taught, I'll have to do that to myself, but to refine some details that could take a lot more practice if I or anyone else were to draw it outright.As for the upscaling (as well as refining if I do make the original drawing in the required resolution), there's a secret advanced technique called tiling, where the AI works on an image piecemeal and (at least tries to) seamlessly stitch it together.

It's a skill tree of its own to be able to upscale reliably in a way that can more detail.VAE decode took forever on this one, and I think to add more detail I'd need to add something to the prompt and up the denoise from 0.3, but leaving it too high will also cause a mess. In the artist ""community"", this is considered a dick move.

It's how you can watch the Madness Combat series today in high resolution, because Krinkels (or Newgrounds) had the old .FLA files which could then be re-rendered at higher resolutions when the computing power was there.Or, alternately, albeit a slightly worse comparison, pre-rendered versus live-rendered cutscenes in games. Pre-rendered can contain a lot more flashy graphics than what the system is usually capable of, but live-rendered cutscenes done by the system itself can be way sharper, especially if you were to use an emulator and just upscale the graphics.Imagine if DDLC was made entirely out of vector graphics, given the patience by the artists to make it so. You could play the entire game at 8k and still not see a single notable drop in sprite quality because the computer itself was drawing it at the resolution during runtime.
