I've had issues with missing variables in save transfers in two games recently. Anyone know anything about RenPy if these can be fixed easily?
The first was in Law School. The error comes up in the S2 exe when trying to load a save from S1. The variable is what you say in a text message from Ep 1.
The other is STWA Unbroken, and the error happens at the end of S1 exe right when you're about to make the save to be transferred. What's strange about this one is I have a save at that choice, so I went back and played from there but it still had the same error at the end.

Usually you can just use unren to enable the console and fix variables from there. You can also use Universal Renpy Mod (URM) for edits if you want a UI or something more robust.

I played The Awakening, it was pretty good. Enjoyed it a lot but again just as I'm getting really invested in the characters and getting comfortable with the game, enjoying it and wanting to see more, it ends and says 'sub to my patreon for more content'.
