I've been a project manager for over 4 years in the UK but always been on a temporary contract. 2 permanent positions came up in the same department + same team that I am already working and I applied. I just got told I was not successful at interview for a job I am already doing. Suffice to say I literally do not give a fuck anymore. I have 3 months left on my contract and I have never called in sick. I get full pay when sick for up to 12 months as part of my contract. I am going to go off with depression for the last 3 months. What do I need to do / say? How to get past the inevitable strong-arming me back in after a week or two?
