I'm an American
Need an account I can recurrently put money into to save but can't take it out of for xx months-a year
What are my options
>ask your bank retard
I'm with USAA and apparently they do not have an option for that

Look for a high interest bank

What you want is a "Certificate of Deposit", which involves locking up your money for a chosen time. Most banks give them, but currently they're not offering interest much over what an ordianry account would give.

I’ve heard of those but the problem is it’s a one time deposit to open the account and I cannot continue to put money into it say, biweekly
