I lost my career at 40 and my licenses are in limbo, and I've given up. I've been reading and listening to all these "rebuild" yourself at any decade, but I honestly can't find the energy and meaning to grind from the bottom again. I made the mistake of having my coworkers be friends . those I thought would help me write at least a letter of recommendation, fucked off and ignored all my calls and texts.

What do?

I've been there. It's sometimes like that, where there is no-one coming to your rescue. And on that occasion the person who survives is the one who has a spark (even a dim spark) inside himself, some impulse that pushes back against the hostile labelling.

This is my recommended list of steps, in outline form, for (re)building one's life: https://archive.4plebs.org/adv/thread/31426822/#q31427197
