i'm planning to dump my gf for a number of reasons. we broke up briefly before for a day, initially i thought it was going to be easy but i felt like absolute shit and went back to her. I'm planning on making it real this time, is there any way i can make it so that i'm not tempted to go back? why do i even feel like this in the first place? I cant really stand being around her and we argue all the time, but breaking up was alot more difficult than i anticipated

Just move on if it's what you want. Stop looking back, thats life in general. Learning how to just turn my brain off and live reactively like 75% of the time has helped me so much, it will help you to. Find things that distract you, get a hobby you can dedicate your mind to.
