>>31539274Well what tf can you do nigga
>>31539503I'm decent at mathematics and writing and art (okay, I haven't really done digital art but how hard can it be? honestly?). I just need money, nigga.
>>31539639>>31539274Drawing furry porn can still earn a pretty penny, but it IS work
>>31539639Perhaps aiming your sights at >>>/g/ and sw dev would offer a path? It's clean, remote, very well paid but kinda sucks the life out of you
>>31539274It’s all being outsourced sadly. To be honest I think God gave me the opportunity to work remotely since the pandemic came. I had temp job that was remote for 3 months and then they fired me. My last resort I sold my apple keyboard to take a security school to do security work. I remember when I was sitting in the lobby waiting to get offered a security job after training God spoke to me and said I could do better than this. He told me to walk out of the lobby and go home.Crazy thought. I just spent the last bit of money and time in getting a security license and being the autist that I am i’d never get another job because I suck at interviews. But I walked out of that lobby and went home. That same day I got an email and it was for a work from home opportunity. At first i thought it was a scam because the company was located in the philippines but I accepted the interview. And after 3 interviews with the staff and a lot of nervous sweating I was hired. That was my proof that God truly does guide us.
>>31539717I will never contribute to the proliferation of this filth no matter how much some creepy rich degenerate is willing to pay me.>>31539722Yeah, but I really really hate the idea of doing that. Plus I'm still studying believe or not. My real aspiration is research.>>31539889How incredibly lucky. What is the nature of the work?
>>31539952I was working for Nextdoor (social media website) as their support team. It’s basically a moderator and email support. Unfortunately late last year and this year they laid off a bunch of their staff as you can read in the news and it’s only a few guys left on the US side taking all the tickets. I have not a clue how they’re gonna survive during the election period going through all those posts. Anyway I was part of the batch that was laid off and I was on the verge of losing remote work completely but I got another job with Patreon through the same company. It’s an outsourcing company so I’m not getting the big bucks the people are getting in the office but at least it’s a fully remote, laptop provided gig.
>>31540033So while I bring this up, it’s been on my mind lately. I’m grateful that I have a work from home job for almost 5 years now but I want to actually quit my WFH job. Sounds stupid, but I want to work part time at a physical location. The reason for this is I noticed in my city there are a lot of jobs with schedules that would allow me to have a lot of free time to learn new skills without working full time. I need that kind of flexibility. Hell no I’ll never get an office job ever again but something like delivery or in a warehouse with either short hours or 12 hour shifts for 2 to 3 days in a week. A simple part time job and a boring one.Another reason is I’m 30 and I’m shaving away too much of my life not chasing after my dreams. I need ample time off to improve my abilities.
>>31540033Patreon, ay? Might have to look into that one.
>>31539639>mathematicsCalculator>writingChatGPT>artNo you’re not lol
>>31542080>CalculatorSo what do accountants and actuaries do all they if they are so obsolete? Nonsense.> ChatGPTYou've never actually used this, have you? It's shit, sterilized and liable to "hallucinations".> No you’re not lolBetter than most, dammit.

>>31542190They're thinking of arithmetic, not math. Of coursw there's no position to tell people how much five times six is.
>>31542487Exactly. I swear, people think mathematics is only useful up to the point where they stopped understanding it.
