My job is very comfortable, mostly remote, very little pressure. I make a little bit more than the median salary in my city. On contract, so no benefits, bonuses, overtime etc., just a monthly paycheck. I've worked here for 2 years and haven't gotten a raise yet.
How do I weigh staying at my current position vs changing jobs? I feel extremely stagnant, but on the other hand I don't know if I could handle more responsibility in this field at a higher-paid position, as I'm not passionate about the work and have some impostor syndrome (which may not be unfounded). Should I try anyway, or go nuclear and change career paths entirely? Anyone been in a similar situation?
