If you can't fall asleep during the time you normally go to sleep and just roll around in the bed for 2-3 hours, should you just get up and either pull an allnighter or go to sleep when you begin to nod off (and either sleep very late or sleep less and feel more groggy) or just keep trying to fall asleep even after the 2-3 hours?

I rarely have trouble falling asleep, but when it happens, it feels very counter-intuitive to just sit on the bed and roll around while I just won't fall asleep no matter what.
