I woke up with an awful muscle cramp in my calf that lasted for like a minute but now my whole right upper calf feels very tight and a bit sore when I stand (it's fine when it's bent).
I did a longer run but that was two days ago and yesterday I was fine.
Is it just from the cramp and if so can I speed up recovery? I never really got those, and the only few times I did were much weaker.
I would get it checked if it doesn't go away to rule out DVT but I was wondering if any anon knows what it could be and if I can train today evening, or should I call it off

Oral NSAID
Massage gun / massage it
Heat, not ice. Ice is useless.
Topical NSAID (Voltaren).

Viola.

thanks anon
I'll take an NSAID and borrow a maybe massager from a friend who's been a runner for a while, hopefully I get it sorted out for some light training today

You can get muscle cramps if you are low on magnesium. Take Magnesium after a long run to avoid this, listen do everything >>31693104 said

This can be triggered by a lack of magnesium, as another anon said. Also make sure you don't get dehydrated.
