So recently my dad has been turning off the internet at night because he says he "sleeps better with it off". I thought, yeah that's cool because yk it does have quite a bright light on it, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt.Then he started turning off the internet during the day when it was just him in the house and again, maybe he's trying to cut back on his internet usage (i'll get to that later).It was pretty quiet until recently. I started school again and since this is a pretty important year for me, I've got a lot of homework already and since I'm doing a computer science course I have to use the internet quite often. Last week was the first time I noticed it, the internet was just randomly off, I was in a hurry to do an assignment so I just ran back to my room. But it went off AGAIN. I was pissed at this point so I asked my dad if he knew what was going on (the internet box is in my parents room) and he said "Oh sorry I didn't realize you were using it" and, again I was in a hurry so I just went back upstairs. This same sort of thing happened about 3 times again, and I actually ended up missing a due date so this is an actual problem (my teacher extended it luckily).Yesterday I confronted my dad and he said this:"Yeah I'm sorry it's just I read these studies about how the radio frequencies can cause all sorts of awful things and looking back it's clear that it definately has an effect on me"wutI asked to see the "studies" and he showed me a telegram group chat, a joe rogan clip and and study done before I was born.omfgso anons, I need your help. My parents did that to me once. They even locked the closet the modem was in.I went and took out several wires and the power cord so that the modem wouldn't work and the boomers don't know how to fix it without calling someone, which takes days, and I would just take out something else if they did. I went to the library for internet. They had to suffer not being able to watch foreign shows or send emails because being outside for the whole day is easier for me than them. (precovid)
