This is a two-parter: I'm socially retarded and worried if i'm deluding myself into believing that social mobility is a real thing. Has anyone personally witnessed or experienced coming from very little money to achieving some sort of economic stability later on in life? I don't want to be a social retard forever, just doing nothing with my life and only staying inside

That’s all it boils down to. If someone says they really want financial stability or prosperity yet they aren’t actively putting those thoughts into actions in pursuit of the thing, then they are dishonest with themselvesves - they don’t want it as bad as they think they do.

There is social mobility but only if you learn finance early or your parents help you to get a job and earn money. Otherwise the only realistic form of social mobility is crime
