What are some jobs you would recommend if I don't wanna be a minimum wage slave in retail?
Ever thought about being an EMT? I did that for a few years, it was pretty fun. Pay is shit though unfortunately.
>>32324310Maybe welder, automechanic, courier driver, pharmacy technician. Idk. Or start as a retail slave and then later become a manager.
>>32324310Just be a NEET
>>32324310I would recommend you try going on the popular job board for your area and look at all the jobs available where you live. That will give you a good sense of what's around, what you could do, and how much you might earn. >>32325890NEETs are pathetic, and live desperate lives.
>>32324310Ideas:>Take a 1-2 day book keeping course, easiest shit ever 99% of accountants are using quickbooks anyway.>Any entry level stuff in hr or governance if you want a soulless but above average paying job that isn't going to be replaced by AI>If you want job security you need to go learn a trade. Honestly, tiling. You can get decent on a week-long course and earn extremely good money with no certs required.
>>32325962>If you want job security you need to go learn a trade. What about programming? I have a tiny bit of programming experience, but I don't have a computer science degree
>>32326007NTA but head over to /g/ and see how that's going for them lately. I have a friend who flogged his own ass for 7 years getting his comp sci master's, accuring debt and job hunting, and the best he could do at this point is a 70k job, which is nice but still less than some fast food managers are getting nowadays. It's no longer something you just do for the money

Hijacking the thread.what are some good jobs to keep my head above the water in an apprenticeship while laid off? New to the networking side of getting sidework, the best I can think of is getting cash jobs from people at church or hanging around home depot. Worried about doordash being negative income due to main but I drive a car that is relatively light on maint.. also wondering how to properly smooth things over with an employer when I inevitably get a dispatch again (contractually I cannot say no to work). I had one employer that was largely ok with it but that manager had left and my hours got cut to such a degree I had quit.
