It's been close to two years since my ex broke up with me. I've pretty much moved on from the relationship, but every now and then, I'll still think of her and miss what we had. I feel this way for two of my long term ex's. Even though things ended in messy ways. But it seems like my female friends generally tend to think of their ex's in a much more negative way and don't tend to miss them or even what they had. While my male friends tend to think and feel more like I do.Is this generally true? if so, why?
>>32332320They miss their exes just as much, they just hide it better You’re welcome
i only cared about them until i got balls deep in the next bitch
>>32332320>Is this generally true? if so, why?Yes, women move on from their exes much faster if they're the dumpers in a relationship. Dumpers in general will move on much faster than dumpees because they've made the decision to move on before the relationship was over, but in my experience male dumpers are a lot more flakey whereas if a female is the dumper she's usually done for good. I've personally tried to dump both my long term GFs at some point only for me to take them back until they dumped me and the relationship was over for good at that point. In my experience women also are more likely to get into rebound relationships or new relationships much faster. They have the obvious advantage since they just need to spread their legs, but they still need the intent. This is pop evolutionary biology, but the reason that makes the most sense to me is that women don't have as much time to find the next mate and potentially have kids (or more kids) if they stay hung up on the previous mate. Think about caveman days - if Grugette was hung up on Grug after he got crushed by a mammoth or killed by Ugg, the species wouldn't be here. I mean fuck, my own mom was brutally honest with me after my break up and my ex moved on, she said "Anon, she has a new man. Stop thinking about her, because she' sure as hell not thinking about you.">>32332624This is our male arrogance talking, she's not thinking about you at all anon>>32332632Yeah but this only works if you can attract a new woman
>>32332320Every breakup has a dumper and a dumpee. It always comes as a surprise to the dumpee, but the dumper has been thinking about it for a while, maybe months, and is already mentally halfway out the door. So a dumper who moves on isn't necessarily cold - she (or he) is just months ahead in the getting-over-it process.
>>32332710Yeah but it's dishonest to pretend like there isn't a difference between male and female dumpers. From my own experience and from seeing it with others, male dumpers will always leave the door open even just a little. Female dumpers close and lock that shit for good.
>>32332688>This is our male arrogance talking, she's not thinking about you at all anon You’re only half right. She’s thinking about us but not in the way men want women to view us. There is a reason men are scared to date non virgins AKA rosaries, and it’s because for every man that she tries on, she’s comparing him to her collective roster of men that she has had before. This is not only true about qualities of the bed life, but on dates, our sense of romance, our ethics etc. the only time they choose to miss us is when they miss the quality about us that rises above the man she currently has— which is also a given considering how small the window of time a woman is single for compared to the average man. “Male arrogance” as you dismiss it is literally intuition. If you believed everything a woman has told you in the past with no thoughts about lying by omission or just straight up lying to save face AKA be the one in the right for leaving you permanently, I can see how you got to that opinion. The truth is that men and women are just as horny as each other, with only one of the genders facing societal pressure to keep a clean and non whorish image. Women.
>>32332723>She’s thinking about us but not in the way men want women to view us. There is a reason men are scared to date non virgins AKA rosaries, and it’s because for every man that she tries on, she’s comparing him to her collective roster of men that she has had before.Oh come on man you know that's not what that other poster meant, stop being intellectually dishonest. Yeah women are always comparing and sizing men up but that's not the same as pining for an ex or truly missing a man they used to be with. >The truth is that men and women are just as horny as each other, with only one of the genders facing societal pressure to keep a clean and non whorish image. Women.Bruh just fuck off already, you don't understand anything
>>32332756>pining over a past loverIs a sign of a lack of experience and maturity. If you do this current day you are actually retarded and don’t know how relationships work, which are come and go. “Truly missing” someone as you put it even then is only cherry picking aspects about a girl that made her perfect and infallible to you which is a delusion. She left you, and she left you for huge reasons. Denying that is denying reality you moron.>bruh just fuck off already, you don’t understand anything Cope as hard as you want, but you deserve to know the truth even if it hurts.
>>32332815>Is a sign of a lack of experience and maturity. If you do this current day you are actually retarded and don’t know how relationships work, which are come and go.Sigh, we used to have true love as a society. I fucking hate the shitty transactional nature and power play dynamics in "modern dating" and shitheads like you are not helping.>Cope as hard as you want, but you deserve to know the truth even if it hurts.I've probably been with more women than you. They're horny at first or at least pretend to be horny, but once they lock you down that's it. To deny this is to deny reality, how about that, retard? Also nice pic implying that's you, you're like a buck twenty soaking wet I bet
>>32332632DESU as a guy getting laid hasn't made me miss my ex less, in some cases more because it's just not the same without the relationship and history.also because my most recent ex was the hottest girl I'd been with so far.
>>32332902Guys like that are still young (dating in your 20s as a man is like shooting fish in a barrel) and probably haven't dated any one girl for longer than six months
>>32332320Anyone have an ex who gained weight after the breakup? how did that make you feel?
I know my ex thinks about me all the timebecause I popped that cherrythats righttore it out for all you young guys
>>32332953>I know my ex thinks about me all the time>because I popped that cherryNow THIS is male arrogance copeShe forgot about you long ago my brother, I've deflowered my fair share of maidens myself and precisely zero of them have ever reached out to me once things ended. The. Past. Does. Not. Exist. For. Women. They're coyotes, they're jackals, they're trying to get to a better tomorrow. The painful and mediocre sex they had with you when you popped their cherries probably doesn't compare to Chad's cock making them feel like they're virgins again.
>>32332897>>you are actually retarded and don’t know how relationships work >>which are come and go >I’ve probably been with more women than you >he cries, not knowing he proved my pointHoly fucking lolmao, way to prove my point. Keep playing the slottery thinking about your oneitis, man; that’ll definitely help you find the one that stays with your sorry ass. Really… How dare you run through a bunch of women (as you’re clearly implying) and think that you have the right to think any ONE of them was the one for you? You are one hopeless prick.
>>32332996What the actual fuck is your problem>No you're not allowed to have feelings! You're not allowed to feel in loveI was with my current ex for EIGHT FUCKING YEARS. That's probably longer than you've been fucking you little larva
I was doing well moving on recently but this weekend I am back to being depressed again. It has been five months now, and the feelings are really just as strong as ever the oast few days. Maybe it's the weather because we fell in love this time of year 3 years ago. I speculate that she missed me for like the first two weeks and then moved on entirely to answer OP question. Sucks because she has her own place and I live at home and don't feel comfortable bringing random to my house.
>>32332320yep,unless you're multitrillionaire chad thundercock you'd be dead to her after a month. This is why you must not get too attached to women if your young in this sick modern world
>>32332320My parents got divorced ages ago in my childhood and I still recently had my mother tell md that even after all these years she still wishes that they could get back together somehow even though she knows it ain't happening since my dad moved on
>>32334695who initiated though
It seems like the best way to get an ex(woman) back, the best way is to get a new girlfriend, whereby a mysterious force in the universe communicates this new situation to her. Otherwise, it seems like they do not come back. My autistic searching of the /adv/ archives since my breakup have demonstrated that largely ex's will come back eventually, but long after you have already moved on.
