The key is to study human interaction like you would study a tricky video game, a chess board or a youtube video on dismantling car engines or whatever. It'll take a lot of effort and time, but start people watching. Watch their faces, posture, eye contact, tone of voice and body language. Watch these things constantly. Watch the way popular people at your work carry themselves, and watch what they do to get positive responses. Try to mimic them. When talking to somebody try to mirror their eye contact, looking at them when they look at you and looking slightly away when they look slightly away. When you talk to somebody, pay attention to their reactions. If you think they reacted poorly to what you said or did, spend some time analyzing it after the conversation ends. Analyze as many social situations as you can. If you can become obsessive about people watching, great. Make it a special interest of yours. It'll take years if not decades of dedicated people watching and analysis, but you'll slowly begin to learn how to mask your disability and pass for normal. Don't give up.

It's very difficult to be a person who genuinely wants to get along with others, and it feels like you're taking a test that you have never studied for. I used to be very socially bad, but in the last 5-6 years I have finally learned how to be at least passable socially. It takes a lot of work and contemplation. Learning the different concepts of socialization when you're impaired like this seems overwhelming, but the more you train the more you will get better. Sure, you'll probably never be as good as others but it is probably the most necessary skill if you aren't some sort of savant or genius where the value produced by your intellect compensates for your social deficiencies. I have known some people in school and work settings that probably were autistic or on the spectrum and are despised, hated by the people they're around. I sympathise with their struggles because before I became decent in social situations I would have been doing those exact same things. It's like watching a toddler walking into traffic when they don't have the concept of "death" in their heads. You don't want to be a social outcast, the goal here is to be at least tolerable.
