Bros, I'm scheduled to get married in 2 months and I really need your advice. The problem is that my wife is quite lib and is trying to make the wedding as shitlib as possible, to the point where I almost feel like the entire event is being designed as a humiliation ritual for me, the groom. I am particularly concerned about a "musical moment" that my wife has planned, in which her Gay BFF will sing a modified version of "In Da Club" by 50 Cent, referring to my wife as a princess instead of a shawty:>Go princess>It's ya birthday>We gonna party like it's a ya birthday>We gon sip bacardi like it's ya birthday>And we don't give a FUCK it's yo wedding not yo birthdayThe plan is for the Gay BFF to sing these lines at the karaoke microphone while my fiancee and her friends dance and twerk, the whole thing is really bizarre and I feel like it will add a 'gay vibe' to my wedding if they go ahead with it. I'm also not thrilled at the prospect of my fiancee twerking in public.Anyway, I've voiced these concerns with my fiancee and she has not responded well to put it mildly. At one point she literally cried and said that I was ruining *HER* day. And while I understand it is a cultural convention in the West for Weddings to be more bride-oriented than groom-oriented, I feel I have the right to intervene in an active plan to make the Wedding as humiliating to me as possible.Any advice is appreciated.
>>32600858This is not real
>>32600858Why are you marrying her, anon? I get that there's also a western/USAmerican social expectation to get married at some point, but you don't have to marry someone just because you've been with them for a while. It sounds like you have major incompatibilities and you aren't even married yet. What about when you have children?
>>32600858ngl you sound like a boring lame ass nigga. she probably cheating on your ass right now. I wouldnt blame her either, dumb ass nigga with dumb ass opinions
>>32600858not enough context, and we would need more then you SHOULD give in this thread, just talk it out rationally i guess, if i was getting married and i loved them i would likely just list my concerns, ask if they casn compromise and if not then just allow it

>>32600935Yeah? are you that fucked up about her dancing in public? is she doing it naked? i dont get it
I'd just call it off at this point, Anon.
you should break up. do you really want that to be raising your kids?
really hoping this is bait
>>32600858I agree with you. It's cringey, for one thing. The last line is the real problem though, isn't it?If you insisted on cutting just that part or altering it, doesn't that seem more acceptable? Compromise. You could point out that "like it's ya birthday" already implies that it's not actually the person's birthday, just that they're going to party like it.Honestly though bro you shouldn't get married at all. It's a huge scam and you're gonna get fucked over. Don't say I didn't warn you.
>>32600858>I was ruining *HER* dayTell her she can enjoy *HER* day without you, because you're fucking done with her shit.
>>32600858Brother your entire life is going to be a humiliation ritual with a wife like that
>>32600858Sounds stupid, she obviously needs to respect your opinion on this matter otherwise your whole relationship won't work.I mean really? The gay friend over you at this point. That's what she thinks the pecking order is here...I'd rethink marriage if it was me desu.
>>32600858Why would you marry someone capable of such idiocy in the first place man?
