So for a while, I’ve been trying to find something new to learn that could be fun. I tried learning programming in Python to see what I could do and where it could take me and I could understand the basics and make basic programs. The issue was after a while I just didn’t know what to do next. I tried applying the same logic I had when I taught myself guitar where I tried incorporating both the basics, as well as songs that I liked to keep things fun, but it never really worked out. I just couldn’t find any project ideas that intrigued me and I ended up giving up on it for a while, but I wanna get back into it. What can I do to help myself learn more, but also stay invested and not be burnt out?

Maybe you're just not that interested in the things you've tried so far. That's okay.

I don’t really get it though, because at one point, I tried learning stuff that I’ve really wanted to learn on guitar too that I should’ve learned much earlier on, but it ended up the same way, so I just feel like I’m going about things wrong.

they always say one needs concrete goals, that one should put up goals. starting small and building up more
example
>i want 2 learn guitar
first step would be acquire guitar
for some thats already a huge step and achievement
next step maybe
learning notes/being able to read notes
ect
while always maintaining the main goal in ones mind and imagination of being able to finally play the guitar someday
maybe do some nlp or mind tricks too.
(imagine all the puzz ill get once i can play the guitar)
(imagine how cool it will look when my family comes over for xyz and i can pull a guitar out and play)
like a carrot and stick- situation
other thing maybe that you are not disciplined enough or the goals or the things seem less worthwile, once you are deep invested

same happens to me actually, but mostly with people. at first im interested and amazed and after sometime, when im getting them to know better i give up on them (seeing that i got deluded with them)

Try doing it the other way around. I.e., if you need something, try doing it yourself. Could be some automation you could write in Python, for example.

Nothing is inherently fun, you need to set yourself a goal and pursue it despite it being not fun

Only thing you can do is find a job. The chances of doing something that millions of programmers didn't think about is essentially impossible not to mention you only know basic stuff.
