Does this website prey on the weak and their vulnerabilities a lot? I've noticed a strong trend in people trying to be negative to others who are struggling with mental problems, that they apply ghetto bullying ideology on others instead of actually being compassionate and empathetic. I do not like that direction. The people who do this are bored spending their free time calling people shit for people trying to change being shit instead of actually helping. It's negative and unhelpful. I wish the jannies would acknowledge people's feelings instead of triggering them. I wish people get treated with respect on this website.
Shut up bitch
Welcome to 4chan. People are dicks. Grow some thicker skin. It's an anonymous internet chatroom. Obviously people are going to be assholes.
>>32602743FpbpOP, leave the site. You're going to end up being frustrated if you don't.
>>32602736>that they apply ghetto bullying ideology on others instead of actually being compassionate and empatheticYou know what bullying was underrated, it helps grow character and a thicker skin. I'm not a bully nor I sympathize with them, but they were there for a reason, like vultures exist to clean corpses off the landscape. What exactly did the disneyfication of internet achieve? So much for safe spaces, you can't say fag, you can't say retard, outside this digital slum everything is so curated, so astroturfed, for exactly what? Look at the fucking state of society! Now people are angrier, more toxic, more miserable, more divided, more parasocial and sexless than ever. You need to open your mind and rethink with a different outlook, what has really happened with society in the last 15 years and why it happened. But I'm not sure you're really capable of that.
that's the funniest part of this board though?
>>32602736The responders on this board fall into two groups:1. People who honestly want to offer advice.2. People with unhappy lives who take comfort in bullying others they can think are worse off than they.Unfortunately you have to weed through the second group to get to the first.
there is a third mysterious and unknowable group
>>32602736guess what?Life is hard and reality hits you in the face pretty hard when you aren't looking. It's better to embrace the harsh truths of the world and marinate in their darkness, instead of pussyfooting around in order to spare some loser's feelings.Your wife cheating on you? You're a dicklet loser who made her unhappy.Lost your job? You're too stupid and incompetent to stay.Permavirgin and can't find gf?People can see it and smell it, might as well brand an L on your forehead.
>>32602736Having felt both weak and strong in my life, I have realized that I come here when I feel weak and I go to /b/ when I feel strong. /adv/ is not really a typical board, it feels more like the place where reddit and /b/ collide

>>32603316Most posters switch between offering advice, showing compassion, talking through problems, and just being villainous trolls. At least I do. And only when it's deserved.

>>32603713they said "we try to foster a positive environment for your own good" on the ban
>>32602736> actually being compassionate and empatheticPeople who actually tried that get ignored or insulted because the OP is typically a degenerate idiot. The only true way to help these people is to actually give them bad advice or maybe no advice at all. Then they will mess up in real life and learn through experience. Suggestions from a message board will not reach them. They need to be taught forcibly.
>>32602736If you're coming here for kindness and support all of the time then you're using the wrong website. Reddit is right around the corner
>>32603805Redditors aren't kind, they're too busy being "nice".A nice person says what you want to hear.A kind person says what you need to hear, no matter how ugly or it is.
>>32602736Being an ass kissing, sycophantic faggot helps nobody. Maybe it massages your gay little feelings but that's all it does. I'll tell you what you need to hear and I don't give a damn if your loony tunes tranny ass feels bad about it. I'm right and you're wrong. You're lucky I tell you anything at all, shitnuts.
>>32603154To some degree yeah it is bullying is beneficial to those with willpower to endure, but this is like saying the world was a better place when getting away with murder, crime and rape was a lot easier in the pre modern tech eraExcessive bullying is why we see school shootings every other day of the week now and everyone still puts the blame on the kid who snapped, not the kids who carried out the bullying for months or more like years I'm not saying the rest about the state of society and all can be excused, but I feel like it has a way more factors involved, like the constant stream of negativity in the news in all matters of life or the stagnation of living standards. Bullying them would get some to shut up, but it would probably just build resentment and make things worseLook at how civil life was after WW2, people are inherently selfish, but when their psychological and material needs are more than met, they see no trouble being nice and polite to each other and just get along. And right now their needs aren't met, people are lonely and depressed as inflation eats into their savings and purchasing power while wages stay the same for decades, WW3 looks to be on the horizon and journoniggers on social medial just keep on pouring even more fuel onto the fire as the average joe laps up all that negativity up and gets increasingly more bitter
>>32602736the autists posting here are a danger to society so encouraging them to kill themselves is actually doing a favor to their respective places, not to mention their parents, to be honestI come here to give advice to normal people and people open to change but around half the posters here are autistic people very stubborn, very stunted, completely clueless about how society works and incredibly angry at the world for being that way.
>>32604056>>32604068exactly. and anything i say on reddit is usually censored so no point in that. sometimes i go there for more fleshed out discussions, and i start typing something only to remember oh wait, no one's going to see this, its going to be autodisappeared away. not even anything mean or offensive, they've just established that i am not one of them. so me and my army of alts never get to even ask a question. then i post and check with incognito mode and sure enough, "there is no post here." that's probably happening to a bunch of rational posters more like me all over the site. so then i come back here to hang with my fellow chud autists at the only free speech space left online
>>32603713>>32603716When you see jannies being actually right, you should go to lottery to use your hyper rare luck streak >>32604329Your blindness to your own projection is astonishing
>>32602736>Does this website prey on the weak and their vulnerabilities a lot?Yes. And it goes beyond just cheap ghetto ass remarks or jabs or insults. I’ve watched scared shitless schizophrenics post asking for help, only for psychopathic anons to play into their delusions and torment them on purpose, trying to get them to commit suicide. Why? Cuz its funny apparently.OP you’re on a website that’s equal parts autistic and equal parts psychotic. With Schizophrenia DLC.
>>32602736Honestly its the weak who are the most negative around here.
>>32602736i definitely agree with you. lots of people on here just want to make themselves feel good and punch down on the person asking for advice. on top of that i feel like it's really hard to take advice from strangers in general. two people could give the same advice but if i know one of them I'm more inclined the listen to them instead of the stranger.
>>32602736No, you're shifting the blame. A place can be negative, but you choose to be there. A website can't prey on people. In the same way, a bar can't prey on alcoholics.
>a bar can't prey on alcoholics
>>32602736>Does this website prey on the weak and their vulnerabilities a lot?Not exactly, it's more that this site structurally encourages scab-picking. Whatever's the most inflammatory thing gets bumped and therefore are propelled to the top, repeatedly, and that's usually going to be scabs in the soul - physical inadequacy, the desire to selfishly get what one wants even at the expense of others, anger at unfairness and imbalance between different groups, and so on.4chan also has the "witches" problem of>If a site allows witches to join, and no other site does, witches are going to take it over as their personal site very quicklySo for example, there's a certain kind of internet degenerate who isn't tolerated anywhere else online because every other site saw they were a dirtbag and miserable subhuman loser, and collectively said >we don't want you, you're clearly a schizo and you're scaring the hoes, fuck off All of these types of witches from other site end up concentrated here because it's pretty much the last public-facing website that will have them because 4chan's okay with anonymous people being vile to each other, so they get concentrated here, with predictable results on the quality of discussion. The freedom to say almost anything is inextricably stapled to>retards and terrible people who do not deserve a voice are going to be part of the discussion, and will be attracted to that libertyIt's a blessing and curse.
