I am 25 and behind on my career. I was on the PHD track for economic history, but dropped out when I realized I did not want to be an academic (job market for history phds sucks). I made a pivot into politics 6 months ago and worked as a Field Director for a prominent congressman which ended a month ago. Now I am trying to get a staffing position on the hill but haven’t gotten any bites. I just got an offer for an internship that would require me to move DC and could lead to my desired path. I have over 100k in savings (smart crypto investments) so I could afford to live beyond my means on crappy internship pay. Should I take it?
