People have this conception that the chores and work that you do are just necessary evils to reach an ultimate end goal, which is true happiness or something. Truth is you cant directly pursue happiness. And Id argue its the other way around -- goals are no more than necessary evils that give happiness and meaning to your day to day.

The point of working out is giving you a routine, but if you day you do that and still have all this freetime, Id say you need to fill your day to day with more things to keep you occupied.

Just throwing this out there, before phones we could pay attention to things. We had trouble regulating what, usually had to do some extreme distraction control, but we could always focus on passions and interests no matter how monotonous it seemed to others.

I don't wanna get too in depth on much here, family just got home and I gotta head off, but:
I know it's hard to realize this being born with ADHD in the age of unlimited distractions, but, don't get confused and thinking adhd means "can't pay attention to anything". It doesn't mean that, it never did mean that, and I fear younger generations born with iPads/too much internet may forget this entirely and think they can't focus on anything.

Your problem isn't ADHD. If you do indeed have it, I'm sure it isn't helping, but, strongly consider giving up your phone ans getting other shit to do other than a computer/console whatever.

You are on an extreme that is way divorced from adhd. This is because of our current hyper distractive environment. I did not grow up with this. You did. I offer sympathy about this.

However, you have confused the extreme essence of your issue which is more likely stemming from poor life management, addictive media, and an extreme lack of knowledge of what to do with your time with adhd. Adhd is not this extreme. There are other problems you need to address.

I've been in your situation before, and have been actively improving my attention span, I went from having to doomscroll every few minute to being able to actually sit down and read a book for hours.
First, forget about adhd, don't be a retard who goes "waaa I have adhd I can never pay attention to anything" it definitely makes it harder, but you'll still be able to pay attention to shit.
Get rid of social media immediately, I think that people with adhd especially become victims to the attention-span destroying shit like doomscrolling because of the quick stimulation, which only makes their adhd worse. This includes 4chan, doomscrolling through posts and waiting for that dopamine hit from replies is as bad as doomscrolling through something like tiktok or twitter.
Start small, get used to not constantly taking out your phone when your hands are free, like if you're in the bathroom or on a line, try watching a show or a movie, but DO NOT take a break from the movie to go on your phone or some shit, just let yourself watch the movie, if there's a boring part it isn't going to kill you to just sit through it. Try to make situations as distraction-free as possible, there's a reason people love studying in quiet libraries. If you would like to get into reading, I would recommend an e-reader (for the love of god, do not use your phone to read books, you won't get through a single page if you do), lay in bed with the frontlight on so that the only thing visible to your eyes is the e-reader. Generally, let yourself be bored, you're deathly afraid of it, but it becomes better the more you let yourself be bored, you have a dopamine addiction. And try to catch yourself when you lose focus on something
People who don't know about this shit think you just need to "lock in" and you can fix your attention overnight, but the brain has to be trained, like someone who just started lifting, you don't expect them to bench press 225 by "locking in", they need to train their muscles.

Which stimulants have you tried?
I'm asking because I think I have a similar "type of ADHD" as you do, I can totally relate with the symptoms you're describing: zero focus, zero dedication, zero passion, rotting in bed all day, can't even sit in a computer chair for long without feeling exhausted.
Have you tried Vyvanse, specifically? For me, Vyvanse was the thing that worked the most so far.
It worked great for all the things you're describing, I was less distracted, I could actually care about things, I could actually dedicate energy to things, and even moving my body around in general felt better and easier, it was like my limbs weighed me down less and I was more coordinated, and I had basically no side-effects.
And I'll be honest with you, I'm writing these in past tense because it didn't last long, eventually, a few months in I built tolerance to the medication and ended up kind of back where you are now.
Even then, I'd say at least I got to experience something different for a while, I think you should try it too if you haven't already, it might get you a new perspective.

I actually cannot do this. This is something someone who doesn't have ADHD does and then thinks it works for someone who does. I know because I tried all the common "cures," diet changes, increased sunlight exposure, exercise dopamine fasts, conditioning, all of it, before I got diagnosed, and none of it worked. My problem isn't that my brain is dysregulated by society and bad food and whatnot, it's that my brain is genetically programed to have lower resting dopamine, something that isn't affected by conditioning either positively or negatively. You cannot fix it through simple regulation. Adderall doesn't cause me to "lock in for 6 hours straight" normal Adderall doesn't even last more than 3 hours, and extended release capsules barely last 6 hours. The conditioning also does nothing for the dysregulation of yes/no signals to the brain that causes clumsiness and impulsivity in people with ADHD.

So no, none of this advice works for me.
