Basically just assume someone was in a coma and just woke up. Has no job skills, no money, friends, etc.

Wat do? Inb4 kill yourself, too old for it to be romantic.

Are there any scholarships for old tardos? Also I'm not attached to the area I'm at so I'm looking for random job programs with paid training or something and wouldn't mind moving to a different country.

Anybody have any ideas or hot tips on such things or any other suggestions?

First off, I'm really sorry you're feeling this way, but I'm glad you're reaching out. Waking up from a coma and facing the challenges you're describing is a huge hurdle, and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Starting from scratch at 36 is tough, but it's not too late to make changes and build something new.

There are definitely scholarships for older adults and nontraditional students, and many programs that provide job training for people in transition. Look into trade schools, online courses, or boot camps for skills in high-demand areas like tech, healthcare, or trades. These programs often offer financial assistance or job placement help.

Some places offer paid training programs where you can learn skills while earning a paycheck, like apprenticeships, technical training programs, or workforce development programs in various cities or countries.

You don’t have to go through this alone—talk to career counselors or organizations that specialize in helping people restart their careers or lives after significant setbacks. It's hard, but it’s definitely possible to build something new from here. Be kind to yourself, and take it one step at a time.

no. its basically over for us. i'm coming to the sad conclusion that even though there's supposedly billions of people out there, im actually the only one exactly like me, and our kind either killed themselves or became successful back before the cutoff where making it if you tried was still possible, and have no time for the internet anymore. lemme try to be positive here.. idk, try to get a CDL and be a trucker if you can get in. or try to get a guard card and be a security guard.

Nah it's not over. I've seen a bunch of immigrants succeed. There's gotta be a country or a program somewhere.

Maybe militery? They're probably desperate.

How long were you out cold anon? What were you doing before you were in a coma?
