I only like this computer for the big screen they do not offer in the new iMac it's a 27 inch I want to see if there's a way to factory reset it and it load it's basic programs without Internet fast with a later software version I was told that new updates have to much data attached and slows older computers is there a way to make it fun like restoring a charger in fast n furious without buying anything but a new memory harddrive or attaching a tb tower and or downloading a older mac os and if not why won't it run the same way it ran when I bought the computer what's the difference why can I use a iPod on the Internet from 2010 but not a computer I'll even only use flash drives if it helps for anything I download Thanks

Long time MacOS user here (switched to Arch, btw).There is a way. I would follow Apple's online guide on how to enter into the recovery screen, wipe and format the drive, and install a clean copy of MacOS.You may have to create a MacOS boot drive using another computer and install it the old fashioned way. Although newer machines allow users to install MacOS from the internet, these older machines are sometimes "unplugged" by Apple and will be refused a connection to install.Do not expect the App Store to work, or modern apps to run perfectly, if at all, on these older machines. In order to bypass a potential dysfunctional App Store, install Brew and learn a little bit about the command line.It is somewhat true that Apple intentionally slows down hardware. However, the bottlenecks imposed by Apple is minuscule compared to the computational strain of modern bloated applications from reckless companies.You could also install Gentoo.Hope this helps, anon.
